Does the trapper perk increase the difficulty to get out of nets from the net gun as well?
I think I read about it a while ago that that was the case. Not just increasing time to get out of traps.

Yes, IllFonic just recently fixed an issue where that effect was only with the first net. Now all nets and traps should be effected by trapper.

Yes it makes the net launcher worth packing.
I really wish they would make escaping the netgun the same as escaping the bear trap because you will reload your gun immediately after escaping leaving you wide open to attack for much longer than intended

Considering it is meant to be a co-op game , I dont think you should be able to escape the nets at all , unless a team mate frees you and the net only last for something like 6 seconds? Maybe a bit more but balance the damage . Maybe if your last man standing it doesn’t last as long since that would be OP
Most random fireteams I jump in with? They do nothing and you end up in 1v1 while they take in sight seeing of the map 😐
I rock the net gun before the bow or smart disc personally , I prefer stealth approaching the game , find a spot and stay undetected, the fireteam dont like it
The nets are already too powerful. If they did that, they would have to make it a gear item with only a couple shots.
They are and they aren’t, I think it depends on who they are used on? And if macros come into the equation? I’ve had it done to me personally, they escape in 1-2 seconds, if they drop the number of uses thats fair , but if you run large pouch you should get a couple extra , or have a cooldown period between shots to prevent spamming
True, I don’t have to wary about that and most of player base doesn’t have access to a macro.
My biggest issue with the net gun is that it can interrupt interactions. For example, it can stop you from using a field syrette, health kit, medic bag, revives, completing mission elements, and escaping on the chopper.
My second issue is how many nets are available. Even if someone breaks out of the net quickly, you can just net them again. As long as you secure a couple of kills, you can just spam as many nets as necessary, because missing a net or two isn’t very consequential.
Honestly, in the movies, you only ever see the nets like one or two times in each whole movie.
Yeah , a cooldown would make sense
