there needs to be some sort of punishment for quitting out, all the communities pages are reporting of late is how mainly fire team members are straight up quitting out the game as soon as they are downed, not only does this cause the remaining players to lose out on xp but if they quit when downed it screws up any attempted long pulls from the predator.
please implement at least a time punishment for searching for a next game like in for honor , you quit a game mid match 15min ban.
Yes but just as long as they don’t punish Predator for quitting after he is killed…I’ve got a long enough wait to get another game as it is without adding being forced to sit there and watch FT play the rest of the game.
I understand your point, it all goes back to the matchmaking issues we all experience, right now we spend more time “queueing” rather than “playing” it.
On the other hand, it seems unfair that the Predator could quit because s/he doesn’t want to stay until match is over. I was in a few situations like that playing as a Predator and FT where I was downed and watched the match–it is afterall part of the game.
I, for one, only quit a match if something come up that requires me to be away for the console for a good amount of time (this way no point in be in the match and not helping the game progress)
my suggestion wasn’t exclusively for ft members but across the board, i too wait it out if im downed as a pred at the end not only is it part of the game but also good sportsmanship ✌
I leave if I’m killed as pred unless the ft was cool and we have a nice conversation. However, if I see ppl leave cause i down them when I’m pred, i literally go into game chat and tell ft that they can have the mission, and il just stay by them killing npc’s, and at the very end I jump up and down by the rope demanding they let me in the chopper lol.
But theres no point in staying as pred. Unless you wanna talk to ft.
if ur 100 and got all the stuff u need. no point hanging around as pred when dead as it doesnt change the other peoples experience… you miss out on veritanium etc but there is nothing done to the team.
On the other hand if the fireteam quits it DOES effect the Pred players game. They should just remove the option to quit alltogether. That way people would be foreced to exit the entire game and go through all the loading again… that should help discourage it as they just want a “quick hop” to a new game, make it a longer experience and not so easy and that will solve 75% of it.
im not for punishing people for something the game obviously allows and is designed in a way which promotes it. if someone dies in the first minutes of a match and needs to sit and spectate or join a new match which might be faster… its the way they designed the game. they made this possible so punishing people for their design i think is pretty dumb. Maybe if you quit repeatedly then ok.
and the wave after the predator serves no purpose
Fix the game first- punishing people for quitting out of a game that’s full of glitches is just going to make people stop playing completely
Playing as Predator there really isn’t much of a reason to spectate once you die. You can’t do anything and we have immature fireteams. With as long as it takes to load Predator since everyone wants to play it there’s not much reason to stick around when that time could be spent tweaking builds and waiting for another match. It’s just another minute or two of teabagging fireteam members, immature players, or even simply a minute of doing nothing. If the Predator quits I get it.
I don’t see how much fun it is to sit and watch a game while you are dead. Its boring.
The possible way to address it is to get people from the queue into reinforcement pool. So that way people wont have to wait watching games and also others can join as reinforcement even if someone left the game.
decent idea. mid match joins would help that. like if a game starts with 1 or 2.
First 5mins others can join. that would be sweet.
you might spawn to have the predator plasma a gas canister and die in 5 seconds though.
yep, or you may spawn and clutch win the match by bringing back the team or something.
