87 predator looks the best. The gear of choice is because I play differently from everyone else. I don’t rock the Beserker bc it looks stupid. I don’t rock the combistick bc it’s cheap. I do not want to play like everyone else. I actually hunt and attempt to plan (attempt is the key word). The stats and the design of the game bottleneck all predators and fireteams to play the same. This is why this game needs a serious reworking. While the developers may have had a certain play style creating the game, the customers are finding the flaws with the stats. AND taking advantage.

My initial load out and gameplay was to have light bender, modified reserve and downrange, and bear traps. With these perks I should have no problem remaking still and observing. The predator cannot be seen while cloaked and standing/crouched AND not moving. I HUNT the fire team. I ATTEMPT to plan. I set up everything, and once the my first shot is taken then EVERYTHING goes out the window. It’s no longer a hunt it’s basically a cluster fk!

The Predator cannot remain cloaked for an extended period of time even with the perks! If the Predators energy runs low, the player is forced to move to “hide” so that the fire team and AI won’t see the predator while the energy recharges. So what’s the point of having the perks if my energy is going to burn up?

Next if I am cloaked (and no one has seen me/my energy doesn’t burn up) and I have the ability to trap someone or a fire team member is not moving because they are putting on mud, or they are completing an objective, or they are picking up ammo or a weapon, the Yautja Bow on a FULL CHARGE does not down the target. PALM SLAP TO THE FACE. Why?

Now the fire team knows I’m in the area. So now that this debacle has happened here’s where the bottleneck begins.

It’s impossible for the predator to keep Situational Awareness. There are so many things going on at once. Managing energy, being able to keep visual of the fire team, utilizing weapons effectively, managing the predators health, having to worry about the predator being seen due to the amount of green blood on the ground and on the predator. ALL of these things force a Predator to play the same. It’s run, jump, cloak to run away, fire with the plasma caster (which also gives the predators position away), attempt to melee, run away from the fire team. Cloak and heal. Run because you’re about to be downed.

Without using berserker and the combistick, taking on a fire team is near impossible. The other predator weapons are not effective enough against a fully armed fire team. Because of the bottleneck effect I now don’t use light bender, what’s the point? I’m going to be out of cloak bc of the energy burn, plasma caster usage and it will force me to run away. WHY IS THE PREDATOR FORCED TO RUN AWAY; MORE IMPORTANTLY WHY ARE FIRE TEAMS ALLOWED TO FOLLOW THE PREDATOR WITH LOW HEALTH? BECAUSE THE PREDATOR IS WEAK. FIRETEAMS HAVE NO FEAR FROM THE PREDATOR OR THE AI. Predator can be seen cloaked, he can be seen bc of the green blood, he can be tracked bc of the blood. I don’t even use bear traps now as offense, I’m forced to use them as defense when I need to go heal. WTF?

Predator is absolutely neutered.

THIS IS WHAT NEEDS TO CHANGED

PREDATOR:

When cloaked or using vision; Energy should not be burned, period. Energy should be reserved and then burned during movement or plasma caster usage. The predator is being nerfed by the consistent energy burning. The predator is always forced to move from an advantage position because of being seen by the fire team or AI. This completely neuters the predator and the concealed hunting ability. By forcing the player to worry about energy management, he can no longer focus on the hunt. While I understand why it was added during development; this is a dumb aspect of the game. It’s being proven right now. Each player should have the freedom to play however they wish. The game is no longer giving the player free choice because of the energy burn.

Weapon base damage needs to be equal across the board. Damage levels need to be increased for all weapons. It should not matter what weapon is being used by the predator, the damage should be equal. The perks should be the only thing that change the damage. This should create different predator load outs so we aren’t seeing the same damn thing all the time. Everyone is using the combistick; why, because of the damage. Why also are predators using the combistick; because the fire team is WAY too strong (more on this later). The only way to answer to their overpowered health and weapons is berserker and combistick.

The net gun needs a larger buff; fire team members escape the net WAAAY too quick. I can’t even change to my bow or the PC to shoot them (I’m not using the weapon wheel, I have customized buttons for my weapons). Bear Traps needs a buff. The predator should be able to throw them longer distances. Bear traps should also slowly bleed damage. The bow, sword, hand held PC, disc, need more damage, period.

This developer made Friday the 13th. It was a great game. Why not implement some of those features in this game. Rather than a melee attack, have a grab function and then the ability to kill the fire team player (just like in Friday the 13th). This would change the dynamic and flow of the predator so its not just (get up high, fire the PC, jump down and stun the player, melee with the combistick). This is mind boggling that this features isn’t in the game. There would be so many different ways to kill fire teams. The different kills could even be unlockables when leveling up. FACE PALM.

FIRE TEAM:

what the H$@l is up with the fire team health!? Why do they have so much health? And ammo!?

There are WAAAY too many health perks and ammo perks. The fire team in general has way too much health, and ammo. They have way too much access to these items. The weapon damage against the predator is also way to much for the amount of ammo they have. Fire teams should have a choice; either use ammo against the AI or save it for the Predator. This would ensure the usage of suppressors, stealth and the necessity to stop AI from setting the Alarm. Right now every person on the planet is running and gunning with no punishment. If the damage from weapons is going to remain, limit the ammo, period.

Fire teams are included into the bottleneck bc all teams seem to be running the same load outs. Bc of the amount of health, ammo, the weapon damage; the fire teams are not afraid of ANYTHING in this game. What’s the point of crouching other than going under something? Fire teams can stand in one place and be bullet sponges from the AI. Fire teams CHASE the predator. WHERE IS THE FEAR!? Any time AI engage fire teams should be looking for cover. Any time an engagement with the predator, there should be absolute fear that a fire team member should be killed. The amount of damage that has to be given from the predator to down a fire team member is extraordinary.

FINAL THOUGHTS

My opinion of the game is that it’s intended purpose is be the Predator. Hunt, kill, and obtain the trophies. Right now it’s just a cheap run and gun shooter where it’s 4 v 1 and the 1 is nerfed and neutered because of the game mechanics. PLEASE FIX THIS. Predator should be the clear winner 7 out of 10 matches.

In its current state, this is a depressing game. It has potential to be great with much needed changes. Sigh.

Yeah bro the amount of health perks instant syringes that you can use WHILE running med kits you can throw on the ground that has MULTIPLE HEALS 5 second reinforcements JUST IN CASE… someone dies shit tons of ammo ammo gears that your team can replenish from. Getting downed a million times and being able to get back picked up… The amount of shots and attacks it takes to finish off a downed FT member is also ridiculous. One plasma shot should just be enough but its not. Also when FT respawns they have full health and full ammo and spawn right where the teammate called if you ask me they should spawn on the opposite of the map of where they’re called atleast this would cause a unique separation where us preds can pick off targets and have a chance because alot of times killing one or two or three we’ve already used alot of resources… On top of all this the predator bugs are nuts stam regen bug plasma cannon hitting imaginary walls smart disk hitting imaginary walls fire team taking a million bow shots fully charged fire team taking a million plasma shots like the only thing that does damage with the predator is his melee wrist blades and combi stick. But against a fireteam death squad you can kill one person but claiming them will get you killed it takes 7 PC shots to kill a downed fireteam member so they just get revived to live another day I DIGRESS 😭
