I think a ranked mode would benefit this game a lot where only one role can be chosen and it matches you with people of your skill level since there is a high learning curve. It would also be nice if we had a leader board and ranking system like evolve and other games. Another thought I had was having each class have access to certain guns like recon appears to be sniper class, etc. What do you guys think?

A ranked mode would split the player base to much. The player base is filled with casual gamers and a few “Pro” gamers. This would hurt quee times overall and also push some casual gamers away

I’d Have to disagree with you. I’d be love the idea if they split the player base mainly for the idea that it brings a different sort of competitiveness to the game. When im not in party i hate running against rando’s who don’t know the basis of the game. Like most of the time im all for the competitiveness of the game but sometimes i’d like to just baste in the glory of regular casual game-play especially if im testing out things.
Okay but the majority of players are those randos so the “ranked” mode would just be the same 15-20 players mostly. So its not a good idea
I’m not sure if they will have this mode. I was thinking of evolve since it was assymetrical and the ranked mode matched skill level with the high learning curve also. It’s hard to balance since I stomp most players. It seems most people don’t know the ins and outs on ft and predator. I think it’s the skill and learning gap, but we’ll see what they decide. Im just excited for some new maps and game modes down the road. I have a blast any way they go.

yea definitely. I like skillful tactical games. That’s why I think it’s so fun. You can’t just run around COD style and be a good hunter. I see so many FT players so focused on AI and ignore the predator all together. Most are not good at parrying and never mud up. They don’t know how to shoot dodge and cover your team when they are focused by the pred and have no strategy for reinforcements when 1 player gets killed. Thats prob why the win rates were probably overall low for ft. But a group that all knows what they are doing is op vs predator.

Now since this is a what if scenario lets implement it further. Tin=100 points, bronze=300, silver=500, gold=750, platinum=1000, and diamond=1500+ are the ranks. Lowest is tin highest is diamond. With the ranked system is squad of 4 vs 1 predator. If said team wins against predator there points go up ye high i wanna say roughly 20 points. If fire team loses against predator they drop down 10 points. If predator wins against said team he gets roughly 30 points for being solo in a competitive atmosphere. If predator loses against fire team he loses 15. I’d consider the point system fair you lose half your initial points if you would have won.After every 2-3 weeks the season reset and whatever rank you’re in you go down one rank to prove you can make it back up to said rank you were at. How does that seem for a ranked system in this game? Again all hypothetical nothing factual.
This is not siege nor will this ever be a competitive game. Stop wasting ur time
I’m simply implying a what if scenario as stated already, while no its not siege, it is definitely a competitive game otherwise the new game modes “3v12 for example” wouldn’t be implemented in this game or the tournaments that are being hosted by some people who consier this game to be competitive, or me who used to issue $100 on the line for anyone who could take me and my boys down. There is definitely competition in this game even if you had, or haven’t seen it.
No their is not. A few ppl wanting to stoke their egos does not mean anything. Nor do we really know what the new mode will bring its all speculation and fake data mined bs
for that to work you’d quickly run into an issue where a predator player at the highest end might literally never find a game if he is queing at the wrong time which would force the matchmaker to allow predators to fight teams below their skill level creating a feast or famine where a loss could cause 120+ loss in MMR and only gaining 10 if the pred wins because a say diamond level predator is only queing at times where gold tier FT and below are queing
after all the highest tier is only 1% of the playerbase we’d assume
I was pondering over the fact that would happen and issue they go against a tier below them at best, not all the time, but too eliminate the idea of farming against the low level. I respect the input you put into it. Again all speculation of a make shift idea.
I respect the your ideas, but let me break it down Tournaments are competitive matches amongst teams, I’m currently in one, and near future I’ll be hosting one, Ive also implemented 6 times a chance for predators to take my $100 bet. Let those few people stroke their ego’s i see no problem with that, but to say there is no competition in this game to win, is like saying illfonics twitter is not a meme developer account for us. Lets push all that too the side, what would be your speculation of the 3v12 be? Generally curious.

My thoughts exactly. They can host their private turneys but the last one didnt even get off the ground so I dought this one will and if money is being exchanged hope they have a permit cause gambling is wrong

I am the one giving my hard earned money away, not I make a bet and they put money on the line, i can understand why you think I was gambling but trust me, only I was either winning a match or giving money away.
