OK, really looking for feedback here. I don’t understand how some things in this match were possible. PS4 crossplay turned off. Starts around 1:40
Real feedback please
Never let pigs escape. Try to build a surplus asap. When your wounded it’s much easier to spot you. Also on PC they turn the graphics down to make spotting easier.
Lol yeah agreed. I’m more referring to the FT 😅
Not a bad ps4 FT.
You can’t get reliant on pigs, quick claims, stealth, or melee (without netting some solo chaser) once FT’s start playing aggressively. They almost ended the game at the first quick claim. No reason to get greedy just reposition and shoot at the people who come to get him up, or let them get him up and then knock him again. Conserving your hp is more important than greeding for downs because individual FT’s are more than capable of killing you solo with headshots during the claim animation unless you caught someone around a corner. Pay attention to when people have line of sight on you and reposition after shots, thermal is good at this for long distances.
Pigs make too much noise and spawn around the FT so they’ll get you killed eventually. HP is not expendable, take medkits and large pouch and assume you get 3 committed engagements. Pigs are a lucky bonus during downtime. Being pressured for health just means you’re more likely to get desperate and misplay.
Just let them chase you, if they start to get tired of running around for 5 minutes - plasma caster has no bullet drop at crazy distances so you can kite them with it & they’ll start misplaying bc they waste a lot of ammo and time chasing. As someone who used to hate trees - FT’s can’t chase you nearly as hard as they did at launch because branches are actually very effective for kiting aggressive squads, they provide cover from quite a few angles before they’re destroyed and eat up the fireteam’s ammo. Definitely recommend mixing up your ground play with trees if people want to hunt the pred. Caster + thermal is actually an amazing sniping/pressuring tool at ridiculous distances if you lead shots. The jungle with all the foliage and rocks as cover is where you want to pick off the guy in front and netgun is really good at this if you don’t have any other fast combos down yet. Don’t engage them at compounds at all because these are big open areas unless the AI is also there & especially don’t try for melee if you know its a good squad.
@ 3 min timestamp tends to be what happens when people chase you and that 10 seconds where they get greedy and split up is when you have to play aggressively in return. The bear traps took too long and his teammate was able to get there in time to punish you. Figuring out a go-to quick kill combo is pretty key or you’re never going to find a good opening that doesn’t involve losing half your hp to down one person.
If they’re wearing headphones, anyone can figure out the directional clicking and get random hits on you or they see where you land and pretend not to notice until they can get really good shots in. So focus on faster playstyles rather than waiting and watching ontop of the FT, because the good ones will look for you and eventually find you. The genuine way to play bow is to pop in and out of cover like its unreal tournament because stealth isn’t really a thing at higher level play. Its just pushes and counter pushes.
Don’t run melee weapons like elder sword unless you have a netgun IF you REAAALLLY want to run melee weapons. Its dumb but thats how it is because you WILL eventually just get parried and if you get focused by 2 or 3 people you will die during the stun. Melee is really high risk for crap reward atm.
Also, when you’re cloaked and using thermal vision you have visible glowing yellow eyes like in the movies. A good FT can easily see that and shoot at you. When you were on the pipe and that dude shot you, I’ve taken educated guess shots like that before where I hear consistent noises originating from, and where I would be perched if I were playing Pred. Didn’t seem too fishy, just a competent team.
