Some of the top guns are trash vs expectations.
At least let the 44 caliber magnum smith and wesson performance center because thats what it is.
And barret 50 calibur sniper rifle and the " ol painless" do one shot kill on nps’s.
I dont care what what imaginary bullet proof skin the predator has right now.
The damn guns in question should be able to 1 shot bots! Seriously .44 cal magnum will puncture and kill any kind of traditional armor. Not to mention 50 cal omfg should pass through like 5 or six nps and kill. Maybe seriously put these guns in the map with the gun cases for extra damage to anything and remove them from loads , because its pathetic how they perfom vs even fuggn bots. Fantasy can only go so far when using real life objects.
Nevermind the predator which the Barret 50 cal should stun on headshot much less make green matter stew! All the guns feel like air soft variants no less, do something more guns that do less damge and and more powerful guns to to be found in in game crates for temporary use.

If you expect realism out of most pvp games, let alone an asymmetrical shooter/3rd person shooter and (monster) pvp, you are seriously in for a bad time.

Note on the AI, they can’t have/wont do sophisticated AI so the went with straight line tanky AI.

your argument doesn’t or opinion doesn’t explain the predator side or damage and damage mitigation. Are we playing paintball or an imaginary game? All i have said is to put the powerful guns in the maps gun crates and remove them from the load outs period. seems to me you either havent read my whole post or dont understand. I would have less of of an issue if the guns were water, paint balls or air soft , at least could explain whats going on vs the A.I. to say the least. I dont get making a snide remark on a reasonable dissection of in game physics bothers you so much? PLain and simple give me weaker options on load out and put high dame guns in the map for FT to find!

That’s kind of not a bad idea, but as for your stun the pred upon headshot, if they add that I want to affect the fts limbs.

The bow is already slowing down targets that were hit by it, I don’t know for others weapons tho.

I must say that my biggest deception was the AA-12 ! One of the latest weapon to unlock but god damn it sucks. You need to be literally at 5 ft of your target to inflict dmg. In the TTK video we can clearly see that the test can’t be acheive at long range because the dmg are unexistant. I really hope that illfonic is working on adding some new types of ammos to solve this problem !

And except for quite a few games, auto shotguns typically are sub par.

Haha you can dream bud ! They could maybe add some kind of wounded states like in F13 where players has less speed and stam regen. Dismembering would be fckn awesome but too lethal for pvp loll !

Its called balance.

It’d be different if they were power weapon pick ups with like 2 mags of ammo but they’re not.

Not to mention they’re laser accurate when spam shotting.

Stuff in the light your asking for is requiring a rework of the weapons.

A .50 cal shot doesn’t even need to hit the pred to do massive damage. It’s tought flesh and bone but still flesh and bone. What missed shot of a .50 shot would do to a person would do to a pred in similar fashion.

But that also means the combi throw is a instakill and bear traps cripple you for the rest of the game. The caster would one shot all and pass through.

These guns are given the same treatment all guns are in any shooter.

Look at the CS-12. Shottys have very far range in real life. But to be able to have those in a 4stack and reliable range because its more realistic?

Ontop of that none of the guns are projectile, they’re all hit scan type.

ok balance man. This game is far from balanced. It is still infact a unfinished game. I not asking for a re work of physics! i am saying if the weapons in question are supposed to be powerful then let them be found in game map play through weapon crates.

Dont think for a minute damage takes a complete rework of in game physics. i think youre having a completely different conversation from what i am stating. If weapon damage is to be considered X and mitigation is to be considered Y= Then the outcome should reflect the equation. If it cannot support such calculation by way of common usage then , if may be used as power up! I.E. item found during play and not for regular use. Example Quake quad damage, of speed boost. And dont get it twisted that im saying this game needs quad damage or speed boost!

Make guns projectile instead of hitscan and then we can talk about balancing the entire game around Quake powerups 50% hp nuking snipers.

As it stands why would anyone care about weapon crates you already load in with enough firepower to handle any situation the pred could throw at you with no concern for ammo or anything else. And if you mean restricting all the OP guns smgs/lmgs/etc to weapon crates then the game is now being balanced around rare pickups like this is fortnite which isn’t addressing the problem.

If you want realistic guns than one wristblade swipe from pred should slice a human in half
