If the bugs were fixed, base speed increased, and maneuverability improved, yes. But until then, caster all the way.

Disc is far from best ranged weapon, AI can literally shoot you and it resets the disc, Fireteam can track it fairly easily, it’s fairly easy to dodge still, you can be jumped on by a Fireteam member whilst using the disc, don’t get me wrong it does damage and I love it, but bow and plasma caster are still better ranged options.
