I agree. Bugs should definitely be one of the top priorities but compared to balancing it shouldn’t get more attention. Bugs are borderline impossible to get rid of. You’ll fix some and in the process create new ones. Yet with balancing it’s easier to hit a sweet spot.

Yes. I remember having an idea like this, but it also included giving fireteams with less than four people multiple helicopter spawns. Every team should get at least 4 lives to try to complete the mission.
For example, for a team of three the first person to die would instantly respawn from a helicopter. A team of one player would get 3 more helicopter spawns. This would help those fireteams that have disconnects or start with less than 4, because your at an extreme disadvantage without a full team.

i think what i should be is that you can rez one team mate every 2-3 mins making so that the faster you kill the faster you snow ball. but if can rez your full team with full gear thats pretty cheap in my thoughts
because then it raises the question, whats the penalty for dying? having to wait 2 mins to be brought back? that doesnt seem like a Fair Penalty for fucking up. as if the predator makes the same fuck up the penalty is either Less resources for the late game or it means the game has now just been ended.
i dont think thats fair i believe that if you put that much work load on the predator that if he makes Progress Via killing a player he should have that saved and untouchabble
like the fire team gets ALOT of freebees when you think about it
you can needles too heal IN A FIGHT the predator does not have that
you can go down 3 TIMES and be rez to half your health yet the predator goes into second wind and comes out of it with a 1/4 of his health
you can have tones of healing items layed out for you in places you have to go to anyways so that at no point do you have to go out of your way too heal witch the predator does
if you wasted all your heals and fucked up and died you can be brought back with Reinforcements
you get the easyer to use items. that deals more Damage both in how much you deal and how fast you deal it in.

he deals less damamge his ammo is either limited by cool downs ( plasma caster slams ) or by a VERY small amont like 30 arrows while snipers deal more damage then the bow and holds 80 and can be refilled by other team mates and ammo bins laying around. now you can make the point that you can pick them up all be it a weak point as you have to run into no mans land to get them.
or lastly you get its own ammo system witch then has its own cool down ( hand held)
then you got the fact that he has ALL the bugs that he has too deal with.
he doesnt have that much healing he comes with a max of 3 heals and the rest he has to go to one of two points in the map for bores so that makes him even more weak.
honestly the only two ways i see him having any power over the fire team is
- hes got the most health in the match
and
- if he uses cloak and stands still he cant be seen

i dont count the movement because its limited where you cant spam leap and you cant run all the time, and trees rarely helps predators live in a fight and in fact most like gets you found and shot early on.

Sammy imma have to stop you there, as one who has been playing since the beta, the Balls to the wall predator tactics has been on the rise with more buffs being placed to predators to fuck the fireteam. I was in a match where the predator jumped and bowed/ combi sticked us, spamming the slam attack over and over that we never had a chance to get to the first objective. Now yes the reinforcement thing is annoying but that does not Invalidate your kills, no it just means you can get more, if your health is low, eat pigs before you use your meds… and why try to wipe them? Just so you can get bragging rights during your winning cutscene? You seem to forget, part of the pain/pleasure of hunting is the welp didnt go as well as i hoped but… Im alive and ill try again. Thats what you need to focus on if that happens, wait till they call in the copter after icing most of the ai, and then heavy bow the last guy trying to winch up, get one last skull. you still get all the points and they can go talk shit at the end that they got away but look at it this way… Did they as pretty much 7 men actually kill you? Nope, if you survive and deny them the points of your downing/ mask breaking then its more of a draw than anything. i have seen plenty of predators come out with as much if not more points than the highest fireteam member (usually me). Now i agree… the poofing into existence thing is just kinda sad, and we should be rappelled in either on radio spot or the nearest spawn point but the bull rushing predators usually use the radio to their advantage especially if they find it early on and place a trap on it. They even wait for the schmuck to be miduse radio use to drop down and stabby stab him to death.
Now towards the predators power is how you use your perks, i mean jesus, i have been insta downed from full health as a assault by one slice multiple times, and alot of the time that i have played through, preds Choose to kill the downed man, instead of making him use up all his meds. Now you previously pointed out meds you need to realize, predator doesn’t have to really deal with the Ai’s, fire team does for its mission, which means ais poofing into existence ontop of players and mag dumping without a chance to turn on them causes players to need more meds and ammo, i mean so far predators got more than enough uses on their combat items to be very effective, and is there even a limit on that damn net gun? Cause so far another major tactic i have seen has been a complete spam of it, like to the point of griefing where the predator will the tease the last player alive and constantly renet him over and over and over again. So towards that whole statement of “rewarding players who fuck up and lose” Then that s not a completely fair statement when predator using the bow smartly can down and kill the downed player in three to four shots, even moving cohesive and smartly, or even better is when the smartest player is killed first? Is that fair to say he fucked up when his teammates were completely blind to the 7ft+ alien curbstomping him right infront of them?
So in Retrospect its all in your playstyle, if you push too hard and get fucked up at the start then that was your choice, not the fireteams, just like if the second to last teammate ditches the other to go do the radio, leaving him to be skull screwed by the predator, then you can hunt down the straggler while he sits and hopes reinforcements are actually on time, or wait tille the pop in and start the downing full all over again, and if you feel like you cant win just back off kill some ai to kill the time and bank your points.

not really i count that as a loss for the predator and loss for the fireteam its not a win for anyone i get why you say thats a draw but when i think of a draw i think of two people winning and in both winnings makes a draw. so i can bend a bit there and say ok its the same out come either way so eh ok i’ll give you that one.
unless he hit you once its not an insta down sorry but no if you as that guy make the decent play you win ( so long as your team does the same.)

Well… I was bitching about marking cloaked idle preds for 2 months now and it only got fixed in 1.10…
Wrong boyo, im not the only one, multiple people i have played with have had the same issue of predators instadowning them when they have had full health. They assume something fishy but eitherway if it is a perk then its balanced out. Then the predator scouts almost bouncing in and out like a grasshopper on crack while slicing even air and getting us (possibly desync).

it Help? No it just means you cant actually focus to what valid points can be made just cause you choose not to read like a normal person.
It would be a Win / Win if the predator actually takes trophies and the fireteam finishes their mission, they will both get a quite fair amount of xp and credits, while the predator denies giving them the larger point pool of downing and killing them with a defuse bonus.
Also All those items you point out are destroyable, the Ammo, The medkits, and other items, just fought a predator who spent the first quarter of the match destroying all the medkits. Then proceded to bounce in and out so fast we had no time to do shit to him.
my point still stands theres nothing that can One shot you in this game Ergo its not INSTA INSTA means in less then a millasecond witch is 1% of a second theres nothing that downs people THAT fast so no you are in fact wrong.

hitting you twice very quickly too down you is not insta thats too hits well planed and timed that was on you for falling for it. i can promiss you i have done the testing the only way to be downd in one hit the ONLY way is if you play scout and dont Run thick skin or bane. and get hit with a throwing spear (combistick) and he had down range.
If you play a trash class like recon and get headshot you will die instantly, yes.
In regards to OP’s post, suiciding to get all your gear back and a free regroup is ridiculous. Dying shouldn’t be preferable but it is & its bad design.
