alright so first off its not needed because you can win the game with out it so by definition its not needed
secondly you can make a way to blance the predators melee spam with out taking away control form the predator.
and lastly its just fucking lazzy. like really? this is the best thing you guys can think of to counter the predator melee spaming you? when you get i dont know work together and shoot the predator as a team instead of going off on your own.
if you need the parry to win with the predator your shit at working with your team mates simple as that

Sometimes the best strategy is to go off on your own. As an example, when you’re running a Sniper and you want to cover the whole camp, the roofs of buildings and the trees from a better angle. You go off on your own to deny your enemy one of their advantages, the high ground.
Sometimes that enemy will spot you after a few shots or by luck, since your enemy can out run you and your team is far away, parry becomes your best chance at avoiding any damage and to make ground. If you can get back to your team then you don’t die, without something to replace Parry, I don’t think the game would be much fun to play like this, you’d be dead if they notice you.
Your entitled to not like the mechanic, the rest of us who do think it plays an important role and as has been pointed out, it can just be gotten around by the Predator if they want.
Just because I said what you did doesn’t invalidate the point. If your only solution to the trap dilemma is avoid the traps, then that solution should work just as well to your parry complaint.
Yea i agree but im just saying that if your off on your own that if you die thats on you, also parry is not needed because YOU went off on your own

Then why is it in the game?
It’s an option that the Fire team has against the Predator when he is rushing in.
I’m a Predator main, and there were many times when i saw the FT grouped together and with the combi stick i just jump right in the middle and start hacking away getting multiple hits on multiple targets.
If just one of them knew how to Parry they would freeze me for a few mili secs and could melt my life away.
Which is why Parrying was put into this game for balance as an option not a necessity

Parry is a balancing mechanic. Plain and simple. You just don’t like it. You’re telling multiple people they’re wrong and can’t change their point of view when in reality you’re alone AND wrong and can’t change your play style
You can take that as a win if you’re so desperate for one. (Sorry this came out more dismissive than I intended.)
I don’t think the mechanic is likely to leave the game or be changed in any major way.
This isn’t the same situation as with spot on the PC (PS4’s spot is fine).
I actually struggle to parry most of the time and end up dead because of it and sometimes I do party and still die so yeah

Actually that seems fairly obvious, I don’t think they need to justify it.
My justification would be that it also stuns the Pred not just blocks, so therefore they had an intent in mind when they designed it.

Yes. All hail PaperChamp, deemer of obvious mechanics. As so many others have tried to explain to you, a game without parrying is heavily in the Predators favor.
And to that you said, “if you get melted by Pred damage Change up the way you play” completely missing the irony that it’s YOU that needs to change your play bc the parry is SO easy to avoid! Even if you’re being “lazzy” lmfao
