The best predators never give me the chance to parry or spot them more than once. It’s the Zerkers trying to run in and bully that get parried to the after life.

It’s the greedy predator trying to set up his shots out in the open that gets spotted repeatedly.

The predator would have no issues if these weren’t actions the FT could use to counter. It sounds to me like you want a easy win.

Using the foliage to block the spot, use the time spotted to go one way and then reverse, making them think you are somewhere else combined with the audio decoy. Don’t move so they have to guess where you are while cloaked.

that’s if they don’t chase lol, it’s very situational… advanced FT’s don’t not follow up on an advantage… also not moving is suicide vs good FT’s as well rofl… it’s called loud clicking and listening to the general direction of the audio direction :)

Exactly. Good predators have me on high alert until they start the attack. I can tell in the first minute what level of player I’m dealing with.

Bro if they all come to knife you
I suggest you to use the bow or the buffed up hand held plasma caster
with down range perk u can easily down that annoying retarded fire team cunt with 2 or 3 shots
If u still want to melee them with a sword or combistick dont attack them when they swing their knife instead do a neutral jump and then continue attacking at a different angle then the parry wont work
If all of them are just chasing u with a knife leap on a safe place and then slam on them then rinse and repeat if u stil want to get up close and personal

Yeah thats true sometimes i encounter pc players who can spot me literally where ever i am and have ability to shoot out homing sniper bullets which hits me no matter the line of sight between them

Wristblades double hit now anyway, so they HAVE to parry the first two hits or they are dead. Before the patch you could survive like 5 or 6 hits with the wristblades. Now it is 3 if the double hit glitches.

Good preds give you almost no chance to parry but I do think it should not stun the pred as much.

Would you be happier if the FT just held a block button with knife equipped and it allowed them to take less damage for the first couple of strikes?

There has to be something to discourage the combi rushers.

In predators the Japanese guy parries and in pred 2 Harrigan parries several times. You can talk about pred metal vs. Steel knives all day but steel is still hard as fu*k. If I gave you a diamond sword you wouldn’t automatically be able to cut steel like butter.

This is one of those skill issues at it’s core.

FT can only parry you hitting them from the front, so if you want the big dmg combistick than you need to come in from the side or behind to get the hits in OR you need to bait the FT players into parrying before striking.

If you think parrying is stupid and FT shouldn’t be able to because you just want to face on roll them well… the answer is already in the game… use the disc and all your parrying woes will go away.

Just back off a little and use range attacks.

Parrying is the only way a Predator doesnt rush you in the middle of a 4 man FT.

The knife 🔪 parry is a great feature for the Fire Team.

If you find yourself in melee with a good FT using knives, change your fucking attack strategy rather than simply spamming right trigger with a melee weapon.

Try doing other attacks like:

  • Back up and ground slam
  • Use Net Gun to neutralize their ability to fight back
  • Shoot Plasma Caster then melee
  • Use any other ranged weapon(s) you have equipped
  • Place a Bear Trap
  • Leap away, then leap back and flank to hit FT from sides or rear
  • Run around FT to flank

It’s not that difficult to counter their parrying, don’t just stand there swinging away as they constantly parry your melee attacks — problem solved. Think like an Apex Hunter and use every tool and tactic you have at your disposal.

Its retarded because a 10 inch knife wielded by a human shouldn’t stun the predator. It pulls me straight out of immersion when it happens. It especially pulls me out of immersion when a human charging a predator with a knife is an effective way of countering predator’s melee.

Its retarded. Bad genre emulation. Its like they lazily just copy pasted human vs human military shooter mechanics. Its inappropriate.
