Remain Cloaked While Using Melee Attacks

Full version of How to Melee while cloaked:

When you’re in the waiting screen as predator, waiting with the other fireteam, go to your options menu and do the following as you see in the video. After each Delete, or Set action, press the Save Button. What this does is clear out the initial set of fire, reprogram in cloak to initialize, then you reset back in fire weapon. This allows your cloak to sync with your actions better. At least for single, light attacks.
(You may have to predefine your keybinds to what is seen in the video)

Afterwards, you should be able to do single attacks as melee while invisible. This lasts for as long as you haven’t closed the game, I believe. You don’t have to do this every match to stay cloaked while you attack the fireteam. You can use knife attacks, shock gauntlets, the hook all while being cloaked. Try out many of your own favorite weapons! Report back on what new moves you find.

It’s using a keybind in the very way I intended it to. Should have been around 6 years ago. Don’t know why nobody discovered it until now.

Perhaps the game didn’t mean it. Maybe they did as an easter egg. It’s just an intuitive keybind though.
Out of the box thinking, within the rules of the game, that also upgrades this game to canon.

Trust me, fireteam are psyched to see this. Not all of them perhaps.

what about “unintended mechanics” do you not understand? if this was supposed to be normal, it wouldn’t be so difficult to discover

and i sincerely doubt it’s an easter egg. gives pred a pretty decent unfair advantage

Is this intended the same way a function bindable to scroll wheel or similar fast input can be used to instantly free yourself from the netgun?

No, but that is interesting PC players can do that specific method.
This method had to do with knowing the order of logic, and combining keybinds.
Now that the genie is out of the bottle, I suppose we should prepare for a jungle where you better pucker up and kiss your ass goodbye.

I mean you can do some really cool moves with this thing. Like a (sprint+crouch) slide in, melee and then escape. All while cloaked.

Parrying a predator with a small combat knife isn’t canon… are you gonna fix that to? How about fix the plasma caster. It should be a one shot it most cases. The game has to be balanced in some way. Sure it would be cool if the pred could remain cloaked, but that’s not the way it was intended for this game. Pretty sure if you were not the one who found this and someone used it against you first, you would have a different perspective.

I am the only one who found this, and I gave it to everyone to use. I’m looking forward to seeing this as fireteam. What sort of a dunce argument is that? Haha.
