REMOVE AI WALLHACK AND AIMBOT

Right now with your silente buff, AI are beyond broken, they are more and they do more damage and you can’t avoid that damage because they shot to you throw walls and you can’t even see them. Plus they have aimbot and they can’t miss one shot even if you run side to side or crouch/ jump. No sense an AI like this, people will keep rage quit because now AI are doing the predator’s job, killing fireteam members.

…I have yet to have that experience, I see fireteams wiping the AI with ease.

Juggernaut now has more health, big AI instantly shoot to you behind walls and deal 20hp damage with shotgun. They can’t miss any shot cause they have a sort of aim bot.

Oh yeah, I hate those shotgun asshats that appear right fucking behind you and start melting your health while you’re trying to shoot.

Well… you can’t take away their “aimbot”, as they are literally AI…
Without an aimbot, they can’t aim… :P

They could potentially program it to be less accurate though ;)

I don’t mind their aim, is pretty lame as it is now and the damage they inflict is meaningless, however, AI needs a lot of work. Their spawning is just awful, like they magically appear right behind or in front of you. That’s absurd. Also they are able to see through smoke, through walls, but can’t see you when you are crouching? They are annoying giving away your position when you are hidden, that should not be the case. They know where you are even if you are out of sight. Fixing all that will benefit both FT and Predator, as these issues happens to both equally. Also they can shoot through walls. That shit is broken. You can’t shoot through walls or a fence, they can.

So while thinking about this, I’ve come to a couple of conclusions.

I don’t actually think the Wall hacks or Aim bot are the real problem. I think the behaviour of ceaseless advance is more of an issue. I still am glad they take cover more effectively now but it’s highlighted a flaw in its self too, they aren’t actually trying to protect anything. Alternatively they aren’t actually hunting you as a group that gets scared if you shoot their friends.

I think small changes can add up to a lot when programming bots, and while I don’t have the knowledge to really help I do have a couple of ideas.

First I think the bots need to be of more than one type, each type having different base set of goals. So some chase if their in a group but get scared if they’re alone. Others can be programmed to try actually defending the compounds.

I honestly think we should have a third type that’s a non-combatant, some STGZ Lab people or technicians. These can flee, but still pull alarms. (A way to pistol whip them would be nice… not necessarily with a pistol.)

The only two things with AI I object to are

  1. Magical spawn out of thin air three feet from you
  2. Instantly know where you are regardless of relative position and stealth

I don’t like that the AI shoots through those thin sheet-like walls that surround some camps, you can’t see through them so it’s pretty bad when the AI stops behind them and starts firing at you, hitting you without knowing where you stand.

And the range of their shotguns is ridiculous, especially compared to the range of ours. Bump

Not sure if the drop off range is different, all I know is I can’t ignore them or I go down.

would be cool if there were tigers and snakes that popped out and attacked the ft and predator

One of my favourite things about Evolve was all the Wildlife, and how you had to be wary of it.

Play fireteam in private they have spawn points learn them they dont appear from nowhere when you know their pattern, and if I thought you an idiot i wouldnt say this just like you learn from pred video just go learn AI spawns and you wont be caught unaware my friend.

Not only that. If you shoot to them, they don’t get hit

WRONG!

I don’t know what you are doing, but AI numbers vary depending on how many players are in the match. If you play private solo, you will see a lot less AI than playing with a full team. So is impossible to “learn” their “spawn points” by doing solo private matches.

Also, they still spawn in front or behind you when alarms are triggered.

Knowing the general areas helps immensely with a decent team

If there are “AI Spawn points” there’s so many of them or they are so large, it’s impossible to predict.

From personal experience there doesn’t appear to be any significant rules or pattern to AI spawns.
They will happily appear out of thin air right in-front or behind you.

They seem to just focus on the ‘nearest player’. Even when the Chopper is called, they will spawn and head in the opposite direction if a player is nearby and behind them.
