REMOVE BEAR TRAP SOUNDS

It’s unfair that the bear trap can be easly see and easly heard as well. I think it’s fine that can be see easly. But you should remove the sounds to make the trap more viable agaisnt player that already know the game (like all that actually play from the day one). Or at least make a perk that remove the trap sound could be cool.

Nah it should be just silent.

I don’t want it to be a perk though. Too small of an effect to waste a slot.

I am happy for them to be made silent but they need to add a option in there for them to be disarmed rather than having to activate them.

Hm idk, if they keep the visibility then I think that would be unfair.

I personally would like to not be destroyable or anything. Until you get caught in it and you remove it.

Problem being there is that they can be used to cover choke points, yes I agree its a smart move by the predator but if there is only one way out through a door and the trap is right there then someone has to activate and remove it all the while the predator is laying into them and body blocking any shots that are meant for the predator.

I dont even mind if you have to do something silly like crouch up to it and then hold F for a while to disarm, I just want the ability for someone who has half a brain to be able to remove it without having to put themselves in such a bad spot.

Also if the FT can disarm an alien bomb then I am sure they would be able to disarm a easy mechanical trap…

they should be silent, a FT member would have to use sixth scent to find them relatively easy.

would also help FT members not all wearing damn Yautja’s Bane and OWLF Trained.

Eh if they make it so you can disarm it itl be whatever for me, it will me annoying is all. Cause to me then traps will be useless.

You should be happy to see anyone using OWLF training it is a very bad perk, it only gives you 5% damage reduction, you are better off using thick skinned perk which gives you 15hp more.

5% damage reduction equates to around 5-7 damage so you get more bang for your buck with thick skinned.

I know what you mean, there needs to be an incentive to the traps. Although them having need to be disarmed in a way is a hindrance to the FT, they need to take their time to disarm the trap, maybe make it longer than actually standing in it and then disarming it? That way its a risk/reward thing, take the damage and potentially get jumped by the pred or disarm it slowly but run down the clock?

Also it could mean because the trap wasnt activated it could be picked up and redeployed? (not sure how I would think on this one because if I was in the FT, I would try to break it while disarming it)

Oh I like that. Like a longer time to disarm it, compared to breaking out of it.

It could be cool to make the trap disarmable if you see that but it has no sound on the other hand.

Yeah sounds for the traps is really stupid it around be different if it was used to bait the FT but it’s not. Nobody is going to run around carelessly long for a bear trap if they hear it they’re going to do the opposite.
