Resident Evil Welcome to my disappointment...

Supposedly it all takes place at once instead of in a proper layout of the plot. So RE1/2 at the same time. On top of that, Claire suddenly has Jill’s character arc from 3 in trying to tie Umbrella into the big conspiracy.

Also, Jill’s black now and Leon is either middle eastern or latinx. Cuz diversity hires are always a good idea and you dont ever want to partner two white people together or else they start getting ideas.

Not sure why they couldn’t just make a dedicated RE1 or RE2 movie. Why change things? Why change characters? Why make this movie?

The movie looks pretty cool. But who ever picked the music for that trailer is a disgrace.

Lol gosh they are really ruining series with race swaps they need to stop!

The series ruined itself, these diversity hires are just the cherry on the train wreck.

Resident evil movies have always been garbage, I didn’t expect anything better this time around

No, there’s a special place in my heart for the first two… they shoulda stopped there.

Specifically the scene with Mila Jovovichs titty.

I can’t imagine watching this after that opening quote

someone missing out on the peak cinematography of Afterlife. We need paul ws anderson to remind us that cinema is an art form.

What’s funny is we now have to acknowledge the Anderson saga for creating its own diverse cast instead of race swapping characters. Cabby was funny though, and Michelle Rodriguez is a hot lesbian everyone can enjoy.

Thankfully there’s a better trailer that rectifies that

Couldn’t agree more I stop liking resident evil after 4 lol

2 is the best to me , then 1 .

But as much as I like those ones? They really are garbage amongst trash 😁 , but in a cheesy nostalgia way

2 is a lot more entertaining for the action, whoever played Jill was perfect casting too.

I always liked them , the more they made though the worse they got . The one with the underground simulator was ok? I csnt remember which one that was 😁

That’s why I’m a fan of numbered titles. If you’re planning on going past a trilogy, or just riding the gravy train as long as it allows, just go numerical. Not revival, reloaded, resurrection, resurgence, revelation, retribution, whatever else you call sequels these days. Call it Resident Evil 11, who cares?

I caught a bit of that one I think, where they’re simulating zombie outbreaks with clones in major cities? I liked RLMs take in that if you’re a pharmaceutical company bent on world domination… and you have access to clones… tf are you bothering with zombies for?

Yeah they used clones of people , thats the last one I remember watching and thinking it was ok.

They dragged the ass out of those movies though , I will give this one a watch but I don’t have a speck of expectations 😁 I learned that long ago.

Were they always intending to create zombies or was it just an accident and then they decided to pursue the idea? I have no clue if the plot ever pointed it out because it was so disconnected from movie to movie. (Apart from 1 to 2)

Same, 2 and 1 were fun but dumb as all shit. Everything after 2 was a dumpster fire that just kept trying add the worst shit in possible.

This new movie looks like it can give that series a run for their money in terms of shitiness

If that is the case , then it must for sure be deliberate.

Sounds like a real Jill sandwich.
