Because let’s be honest nobody changes the settings with modifiers in Private matches. The only instance I’ve known of people doing it in private matches was when Cleopatra first came out and when Samhain was doing Private matches they reduced the damage to 50% for a while. It is a good idea true, but the Fireteam players wouldn’t stand for it that is for sure. Doesn’t matter whether I simply reduce their damage to 99% of the normal total or remove spotting, they won’t be happy, as would I if someone took away my target isolation, or my ability to scan in Fireteam members.

I think it’s better off to just follow the relatively fair rule of privates where there are no Dantes, Supports, especially Field Medic, PDLs or 9 second spots. But even then nobody really listens to those relatively unspoken rules on PSN

Then it would be your requests, against others’ requests… as always. But if there is a “common sense” in this game, then playing with fair people would bring to fair custom setting in privates. *****
If there isn’t common sense, then the actual balance situation is what the devs think it should be. (no significant balance changes since 4-5 patches)

  • for what I’ve seen lately, @JelouGaming’ s tournament rules have been what I consider close to “common sense” in the game.
