Trust me, as nonsensical as it is thematically, if the Predator could just melee you and all you could do is just get hit and die, you’d probably be a lot angrier. Understand it’s in place for the sanity of players.

Stabbing people from the front is probably one of the riskiest decisions you can make on the off chance they know what they’re doing. Same as quick claiming infront of 3 people.
The first hit with every weapon is super easy to parry and I get why the mechanic exists. It’s not going anywhere so play around it.
It doesn’t matter as long as one lives they can just res the rest. That’s the mechanic I hate the most

It’s surprised me when it first happened, but you can’t underestimate humans lol! That’s why they’re so fun to hunt. Once I got the hang of the game I learned to switch quickly to my secondary weapon when this happens. Cloak and switch, or just switch in front of them if they’re waiting for another parry. If you’re quick the parrying happy player becomes a free kill in an instant.
Actually, its making me want to quit this game and move on to somethings else. just so jarringly unrealistic (speaking in context of source material fiction) it takes me right out of suspension of disbelief.
It’s unrealistic for sure. But, to play Devils advocate, this is a game about an 8 foot Jamaican haired space monster. I get why it’s in the game, and it’s not leaving. 🤷♀️
