I like the role play gameplay.
I never finish guys down with my guns, I always try to take the trophy.
I tried the ax recently.
It’s strong indeed but I’m thinking of completely abandoning the melee gameplay.

I assume by that you mean toying with the Fireteam and getting stealth kills etc?
Meh it’s suicide. I remember when the Power Rangers tried to nerf me and kept getting mad when I would kill the downed players with the Bow instead of claiming them.
The Axe is probably the only decent melee approach as far as high damage is concerned but can only get you so far.
Abandoning melee is a good idea😂
Stealth attacks, varying melee and ranged attacks, taking trophies, etc…
Assault rifles are powerful too but are limited by range.
Bolt action rifles are too powerful at all ranges.
It’s just impossible to approach them.

Yeah that’s why Predators have to use range against these death squad Snipers. You either hit every shot and kill one before they kill you, or use other tactics such as traps, disc, Plasma etc.

Footsteps are too loud.
It is probably the Predator’s best weapon and even that can only get you so far.
Just watched Moralez’ video, I want to offer some tips.
100% switch your perks to medic, large pouch, and down range. For most of that match you had them grouped up by the train wreck, that’s asking for charged plasma attacks. Couple that with Analytic or Stalker, you would have had them easily.
Speaking of that specific engagement, you need to move more. He got those grenade and sniper hits on you because you stayed in one spot a lot. You gotta move. And you have to take your downs immediately, you had a few people down but you stayed on the roof and let them be revived. I know you said you like to claim the trophy, but you need to separate the lore from the game, doing that will get you killed. Only run in and quick claim if you know it will upset the FT balance, as sacrificing your second wind for a kill against a premade is a valid technique. Otherwise, long range attacks, always. And traps, that spot right there would have been perfect for traps.
At the base when you were second winded, you allowed too much time to pass by not having medic. They were down two, if you had fully healed within a minute of SW and re-engaged, you might have had them.
Just use the perks we suggested and practice your long distance game. Bow, handheld caster, throwing the stick, even the disc. Then movement and evading, and getting the kill as fast as possible. It won’t make you invincible, and the FT will always be stronger, but you’ll develop the best skills possible to compete against them.

Jumping close to ft from an angle there don’t see you and throwing the combi without making steps that will make noise, throwing traps from branches above the ft, shooting plasma with dithered lens.
There are options but the time window to make them work is small.
