Room trapped by fireteam

Scarface is a good fireteam player and experienced. But he plays only ft so he doesn’t know how it feel to play Pred. After that patch the Pred is a pure joke, one Grenade with new perk take half hp of the Predator.

EZ

This cracks me up - if a Predator goes into a building without assessing the situation, then he/she better be prepared to be trapped.

All in favor of adding remote detonation to the smart disc reply DO IT NOW!!

Having the predator able to push the fire team to the ground is just a really dumb idea, like really dumb, playing as the predator then all you would have to do is run at someone or a group, push them to the floor and nuke their ass when they are down, yeah thought that one through LOL.

I’ve been pestering @OldKingHamlet about this for months!! 😁😁

I’ll just also point out that the Viking with the Viking Axe, and maybe a well placed beartrap or two, could make quick work of a fireteam that’s trying to trap the predator indoors. Plus, the Predator in that video was the one who lost that encounter before he entered the room: Should have stayed outside, dropped a beartrap or seven, then splash damaged the fireteam until they had to escape. And even if he couldn’t get a good angle to splash, build traps like mad then wait for the fireteam to try to complete the objective before the time limit. Cheese is weak to counter cheeses.

DEW IT😈

Fuck yeah, explodable smart discs need to happen immediately.

@OldKingHamlet

A smart disc that could be detonated would also help in that situation

I see, answer him will you, but not me??? 😜😂
Would you need all of those bear traps if you could just Backhand a FTM?? I think not 😁

The Viking needs those beartraps, and should be allowed in the Thor challenge. Make it so that if you trap a FT member, you have to land a heavy axe attack on them and that’s the only way to be allowed use of Bear Traps. No bow spamming them, trapping downed FTs or anything cheesy like that. I’m too tired to find the topic and remember who was running that challenge.

It was @Robo_2696 👍 and it has definitely been a challenge let me tell you 😂

The real problem: predator going into small buildings when logic would say dont

I really like that idea

Don’t be so wilfully ignorant. An FT takes seconds to escape from a trap, and its a part of a predator arsenal, they make a decision to equip it. Standing in the doorway to trap a predator in a room (or in my case, between a wall and a chair on wheels, I shit you not) is both stupid and infuriating; it’s not realistic, in the spirit of the game, or what any of the developers were expecting anyone to do- it’s debasing the game by exploiting poor programming and a broken mechanic. It is not the same as using a piece of equipment or a perk, and anyone who thinks this is a legit way to play needs to sort their life out and rethink their priorities. If you’re relying on this tactic to win, you can’t play the game properly. Period. I won’t be commenting further because there is genuinely nothing more to say on the issue; you either get it or you don’t. An 8ft alien built like an ape on steroids should have the option to nudge FT aside. It needn’t do any damage, but it’d sort the logic of the situation out. FT bots can (and often) nudge playing FT aside, so it’s an easy fix for the programmers.

So you respond to someone on a two year old dead thread and then say you refuse to talk about it further… makes sense.

Lol. Yeah, I’ll admit that’s pretty dumb. To be honest, I’d just got trapped in a room so everything looked pretty red. I didn’t see it was an old thread, it just came up on a search because I wanted to see if other people had similar problems and how they got round them. I don’t accept ‘don’t go into rooms’ as a sensible answer, even if it’s the safest advice given the way the game functions, because the whole situation is absurd. It’s lax programming.

And I only meant I wouldn’t add anything to my point, not that I wouldn’t happily chat.

Oh yeah people had this same problem back at launch but we all learned that in order to not get trapped inside you have to not go inside at all.

I know it’s an unreasonable answer but unfortunately it’s the only answer. People have asked for the pred to be able to push FT out of the way for the longest but they’ve never been able to implement it, either through ignorance or just not giving a fuck. They did however increase the splash damage radius of the caster to stop FT from hiding inside buildings. The splash goes through walls too as does the slam.

I wouldn’t expect any changes anytime soon though as you’ve seen it’s been two years and nothing, as well as updates taking far longer to be implemented with half assed work and barely any content.

What? Dude, majority of people couldn’t give any f**ks about this game, they just play for the fun of it. It’s only nerds like you who get all emotional about it. So, who really is the one who needs to rethink their priorities? Replying to someone years later, you really are special brah.
