rtx 2080 fps problem

Hello!

I struggling with fps in Predator HG. My pc is: i7 8700k , 16gb ram and rtx2080 super… at high/epic I got 40-60fps at full hd. Anybody having similiar problem?

I also tested game at ryzen 5 3600x with gt1080ti and at epic setting game runned at solid 60-70fps at fhd.

Im on a 2080ti and a Ryzen 9 3900, im stuck at 100fps (monitor max hz).

I found that turning down the view distance and shadow to the second highest fixed it, and you cant tell the diffrence. Everything else on max and you should be good. Using everything on max will kill the fps, hope it helps.

EDIT: noticed you are not on a Ti card, but should be the same, turn down shadows and view distance, and ALWAYS motion blur off. 2080 should be more than enough to get you on a steady 60.

generally trial version worked way better imo. it’s weird that on this type of pc I dont have solid… lets say 60 fps ;D cpu temp is 50C

I can get a solid 60 (when capped with 60fps, goes to 90 frequently if uncapped) in a private match solo either as a fire team member or a Predator.

My system is as follows:

CPU: [ Intel I7 6700K Overclocked 4.6GHz,]

GPU [EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti SC Black Edition GAMING, 11G-P4-6393-KR, 11GB GDDR5X, iCX Cooler & LED]

RAM [16GB 3000Mhz DDR4 Corsair Vengeance Heatspreader @ 4000MHZ]

MoBo [Gigabyte Z170X-Gaming 5]

OS [64-bit Windows 10 Pro]

When I play multiplayer the frames can dip to 40’s (all settings). This happens more frequently with PS4 players on the Team. It’s to do with the servers, and this is why PS4 players are seeing the same dips.

Anyone claiming excellent solid performance (even with a 2080TI) without dips I’d be sceptical of unless they can record a full game showing a frame monitor. Even streamers have those frame dips from time to time and the machines they have are godly.

TLDR: you won’t be able to solve the performance as it’s not down to your machine, also posting on this forum won’t garner you a great deal of help sadly as there’s a lot of aggressive defence for the game from younger players who feel this is the thing to do for a game they enjoy, and they will zealously refute any/all slights against the game.

this is exactly my problem - dips to 40’s. I’m the one who was streaming this game but mostly because of bad performance I gave up cause in my opinion this is pointless gaming with this type of dips. I watched some other streamers and sometimes game was running quite good on worst PC then my and You know… I felt like my PC is shit :) I need to check private game indeed! Maybe when I was playing on pc with Ryzen I turned off crossplay and that’s the reason why I got more fps? This is ridiculous…

I’m fully confident if you do a private game and just run about shooting AI, even in the most dense jungle area or the middle of a town, with multiple AI enemies & explosions etc, you’ll find the frame rate represents your graphics settings more faithfully.

You’ll be able to turn settings up and down and get a sweet spot, like any other game. Again in multiplayer the dips will be there regardless. It also effects movement/aim response you’ll notice and it will appear a little sluggish.

It’s a lot like an MMORPG where for most of the game frames are fine, but when you visit a communal hub/town frames will dip. It’s server side and those dips will only be mitigated by top end PC rigs with CPU & GPU’s O,C’d with water cooling etc.

i9 2080 ti 32 gb here, just had a full firefight with a fireteam at a camp and it was 40-50 stable. i am running everything on epic. i shudder to think what that would have been on cinematic. the balance passes are getting better but some optimization would start making this game feel pretty legit.

More game authors focus on this. Make the game more playable similar to Beta. Otherwise, we have another case of CRYSIS 1 where there is still no end to the performance cap for PCs and they are still the most powerful PCs down for this game.
