Savage specialization loophole

So I love running the savage Predator specialization, but there’s a drawback I’ve recently discovered. FT can leave a match right before a claim and you can be left even more vulnerable to the other FT members because you don’t have the health gain to fallback on afterwards. If the downed FT members leaves before you claim them you don’t get the health regen. I’ve had it happened twice against the same squad who almost killed me because of it. I also noticed them leaving negates the ironside perk while claiming a Ft member who left. It’s a pretty weak ass way to play if you ask me even though they still couldn’t win with said strategy. Takes the fun out of the game a bit.

I love Savage too. But it need polishing.
Two things could work perfectly:

  • let the regeneration start the moment you begin to claim (no matter if long or quick claim)
  • Increase the heal percentage by maybe 5 %

This might backfire because it would incentivize claiming when you shouldn’t.

You just need to know when to claim and when not to.
I know when to claim and when not
But with how long the restoration takes you often can get second winded before the restoration even started.

That would break it! It would make it to useful

Well, how could Savage work then when it’s often to late when the claim animation ended and your already second winded.

Yeah but there are to many potatoes who would rush claim for a quick heal, and obviously get second winded

Makes sense.
But let the effect take place after the claim is done isn’t that beneficial either.
You either need to have enough health for that or you risk it and get second winded.

savage stealth kill should be full hp

Maybe instead of having the regeneration at the start, how about instead you get a passive Impenetrable/Iron Sides buff that is tied to how much health you have when you started the claim.

  • Health > 70% : no buff
  • Health < 70% : 5% bullet damage reduction
  • Health < 50% : 10% bullet damage reduction
  • Health < 25% : 20% damage reduction from all sources

Also this shouldn’t be stackable with Impenetrable and Iron Sides

I think the health should be immediately added back to your health pool after claiming someone. Not the trickle effect but it should be instant!!!

Yea man I was pretty heated because I ran the build all night and all of sudden someone bounces on me as I’m bending over to claim and I got absolutely fucked

Why cause you dont know ole English?

It should be instantaneous and also everyone’s buttholes should pucker and slow them down as the Zerker does a savage roar at the end of the claim.
