Scout & Berserker Pred Seem Redundant

So I have mained scout pred since I started the game, mainly because I found the game via youtubers like cartoonz and cysz gaming, I enjoy that playstyle.

Now how do I explain this well… with the buff to adrenal boost, theres VERY little reason to use scout over hunter with adrenal boost. IIRC scout can pick all the most expensive perks and still have some left over, yet you can only run the healing kit and one item. On hunter you can use all the perk points, have 3 items and have superior stats in almost every regard.

In many ways I think berserker suffers from the same problem. I think there needs to be class specific weapons and perks that allow them to stand out and to make that work I think some wider balancing would be beneficial.

For example as is, berserker appears to lend itself to a melee play style but literally noone on the receiving end of that finds it fun and that’s why the dev’s are trying to kill melee…and rightly so IMHO. So why not have a beefier bow that only a berserker can use which deals more damage? Or maybe dual weld plasma pistols? Etc

Dont you just hate it when you get downed as a ft early and then instantly get claimed? I feel like there should be a point on your bleed out bar where you cant get instant claimed and the pred would need to wait for you to go past that point before you could get claimed, but maybe berserker preds being much stronger could bypass this lock out period, or ar least be able to claim before other preds could.

Scout pred could have larger ammo reserves for weapons like the Yautja bow or maybe a much stealthier weapon signature that comes from firing certain weapons like the red streak from the bow or the blue streak from smart disc.

You could select certain perks that lend themselves to each class that would be an automatic passive, like scout could automatically have observant and berserker could automatically have impenetrable.

I think having the ability to level up perks would be awesome so that at certain milestones you could either make the perk less expensive or keep the same cost but make it more effective. In this way you have progression and more variation in what’s possible regarding your build.

I feel like instead of there being a stand alone “elder” class, the elder title should be given to each class you have once you unlock it and give them each a stat boost, so you could have an elder scout, elder hunter or elder berserker. Then make the cosmetics currently on the elder class available for use on the other classes. Kind of sucks with elder being male only as is and this would fix that problem too.

So yeah those are some things I would love to see added, thanks for having a read if you made it this far.

Scout has a -lot- of innate perks and advantages which are unlisted.

Here’s just a few:

  • Higher Energy Cap
  • Higher Energy Regen
  • Positive Energy Gain during Thermal
  • Shortest Overload CD
  • Innate % of Dithered Lens

These are what I’m aware of. I’d like to pretend that’s a complete list. But I only discovered the Dithered Lens effect with the recent Dithered Lens perk changes. If you use both in conjunction, even the most hardcore of PC FT’s will not see the beam. It’s so transparent, I have to turn on thermal just to aim the damn thing.

Scout is dope, switch my main city hunter out for him, ppl still rage quitters every match tho lol

Also in cloak mode energy drain lessens if you turn on thermal.

You must be playing on ps4 as scout gets melted as soon as you have any PC player in the game. If you can win with scout you can win WAY easier with hunter.

if you win with scout… your aim is on pt or your playing casuals

For the most part I think scout is fine the.onlt issue with it is that you have less room for error than hunter

But the zerker? Yeah nah he is straight trash and needs buffs

Any pred gets melted when PC players are in The lobby 😂 But yeah I play my fair share of PC players, Some are great others not so much 🤷‍♂️

Hunter I haven’t used since city hunter, and I probably might but tbh I like moving and nothing beats a scout for that 😉
