Well that’s a shame. I can personally pull off up to 10 consecutive leaps without it, and practically indefinite consecutive leaps with adrenal equipped on scout. It’s not dependent on terrain or any special situation, and can be done with regular ease. Not sure what else to tell you.
Scout w/ adrenal boost is OP
I think it would be better to show us than tell us in this case. Would it be possible for you to post a video of this?
Telling is not working because I am thinking that we may have different definitions of leap and consecutive.
Also just to be sure we are both talking about Predator Scout not Fire Team Scout, correct?
Here is my video. I can only ever manage 6 consecutive Leaps with Adrenal Boost. If you know of a way to Leap 10 times in a row, I would definitely like to know. If you are willing to share. Leaping is my primary means of getting around.
You did what I was too lazy to do 👍
EDIT: You put freaken numbers in your vid too…I was definitely too lazy to do all this 😝
Definitely need to see video evidence…I can only leap 4 times as scout without adrenal perk.
Leap
Leap
Leap
Leap
Run out of required amount of stamina
No pause
No sprinting
No jumping
Errr…no. I play hunter all the time and I know he can do more than 2 leaps. Pretty sure it’s 3 and that’s using adrenal boost.
But 8?! What are you on!
I’ll test this later on and if need be post a video.
Scout also dies fast vs knives
2 consecutive leaps on hunter *without exhausting. Yes you can do three in a row, but it will exhaust stamina. Also if you hit exhaustion as hunter, and immediately leap again as soon as it is recharged (about 4 seconds,) you will immediately re-enter exhaustion and need to wait another four seconds. This is reduced to about two seconds of exhaustion with adrenal boost.
I will check out your video and try to make my own as well to show how I do it, guys. I don’t usually make videos so it will take a little time.
Okay in this video, what I do different from you is for each leap, I hold the aiming reticle down. This takes a split second to move the landing spot to max distance. You are leaping consecutively, but not moving the landing spot further out. Instead you release on the default spot it pops up, if that makes sense.
It’s a little tricky at first and the camera tends to swing up so you have to pull it back down once airborne, but you can still execute consecutive leaps while pulling the landing spot out to max distance (which leads to longer air time and thus, recharging more stamina between leaps.)
I will give this a try, but other than rotating the camera to steer a little and avoid obstacles I believe I am maintaining max leap distsnce.
Do you recognize where I start my video? If you start there how far can you get after 6 leaps (Scout+Adrenal)?
I’m excited to test this later!
Your welcome Gentlemen, second video with long jump and adrenal boost incoming later today
Nice video, I think I counted 9?
But that is what I thought, our definition of consecutive was the discrepancy.
The pause you take in between leaps does seem to generate quite a bit of stamina. But makes the leaps non consecutive in my opinion.
I will try this and thanks for sharing!
I am hoping there is a way to get the max distance dialed in without the pause.
HD quality still processing
Doesn’t count. You’re pausing after each jump. I’ll make a proper video on this
You should probably watch the second video all the way through and not just halfway through you’ll see I do both styles of jumps but good try sir
Just did. Still not doing them right. I’m amazed people can’t get this right
brb
Edit: Ok, it’s 7 with Scout (long jump, adrenal boost)
Scout ftw.
I played berserker two rounds ago. The melee was insane but the movement speed and range damage was horrible. I ended up dying bc I had to rely on melee vs a tight FT.
I love scout bc you can play at a range and not worry about parrying or getting melted while claiming. The movement speed is addicting
So this is what I discovered by using your tip about trying for max range.
I found that if you just tilt the camera up, you are guaranteed max range and can do the jumps consecutively. I was still only able to get 6 with Adrenal Boost. And yes its a bit tricky to get the hang of for sure!
@deanimate was able to get 7 with Adrenal and Long Jump, so that makes sense because when I made 6 it felt like I was just a titch shy of making the 7th.
This is showing to get max range every time you can just tilt your camera up. With practice I’m sure one could discover the sweet spot to hold the camera at or where to swing it to right before landing to maximize the next leap.
Exactly what I found. There’s a certain point where pointing the camera up more has no effect. As long as you look up fairly high when you land and leap again you’re guaranteed the furthest jump
Thanks for posting that video. Hopefully it will help less experienced Predators leap more efficiently.
Also next time if you want to test leap without bumping into trees and stuff, just pick one area you like, and then leap back and forth between a couple spots.
Randomly just remembered this thread from earlier…I was just messing around WITHOUT Adrenaline perk on tho…I think i was getting a solid 3 without it in a row…and tried sneaking a 4th one in but u can see it needs a split sec before launching…Also Im just practicing it here , not trying to show off lol Just want to get a feel for it. Granted its a univeral thing just less amounts on other class of course
@Draedark @KitKat also for what its worth
