I am so tired of seeing teams comprise nothing but supports with field Medics thick skins grenade launchers and any other just ridiculously overpowered weapons it really just makes the game not fun when I can’t even Engage The Enemy

you just have to do the unfun thing yourself and just shoot your plasma canon from 50+m away

it sucks but that’s the meta has been for some time now
if they don’t want to have fun then niether should you

I feel like illfonic sees the problem but just chooses to ignore it because it would mess with their status quo

well no Specs were for real added to the game so The worst FT players had a better chance at dealing with the predator cause it turns out alot of players just straight up miss 70+% of their shots

so if you just give FT players upwards to 40% dmg buffs and dmg reductions and near instant rez times and 20+ heals then they can stand a chance against a predator who they can barely shoot cause it walks sometimes cause if they do shoot it it will lose like 40% of his hp and if they do take dmg they can just out heal it most of the time or gear choices that lets them completely negate stealth for the predator for all those players who struggle to see or look up

and then if the predator needs anything make them take less dmg but not by alot and only when there health is already low so they’ll probably die anyway and make it REALLY complicated for no reason

cause even though it IS a 1v4 game

the game is actually balanced around a 1v1 between the two factions for some reason?(which we know this is true cause they admitted it when the 2v6 mode became popular)

And the bad part is the team I went up against my predator had all the defense perks on it to Ironside impervious and adrenaline rush and it was like every time I engage them more than half my heath would be gone in a matter of seconds

I mean it came to that point where if u take this away from people and give them smth that is actually original and like fair game core mechanic wise… they will snap and act delusional like this is what the game is supposed to be and they dont want these game breaking mechanics changed…

The only way that devs can do it is if they BRUTE FORCE it and hope for the best like no mans sky aka hello games did

I also wanna say that if they do it properly and the critics reviews will also see it as good and say that this is what pred was supposed to be like since day 1 but it wasnt

Any more than one medic is just a Crutch for shitty ft to make themselves look good! Thats all

If you do this after the very first day specialization were added then you are just a brain dead simpleton and need to not to breed for the betterment of humanity

What’s funny is that FM could be a balanced class if they increased the amount of health recovered from a downed teammate and take away the faster revive speed altogether. Hell they could just increase the revive time by a second so you would essentially trade giving more health for longer revive time.

Personally I think all specializations should have a drawback to them to make them more unique and make the standard version (without specialization) a more balanced well rounded class. If they did something like this I feel it would discourage the use of multiple of the same class since it would severely limit the FT potential in every aspect but what they specialize in.

Fm could be balanced that way! I think the reason teams stack fm is not for the speed but the supports passive of damage reduction.

I feel the scenario that happens often is they swarm the pred while fighting it so they all are getting this 20% damage reduction while also picking up any of the ft without the fear of going down themselves.

To balance medic. The damage reduction needs to be removed to give support the quicker interactions speed as a passive, and medic is now giving the ft the health buff and thats it. And make the interaction speed without dex be 2 seconds amd make it with dex a 1.5 pick up. Medic and support is now balanced.

Ohh yeah. And also after the plyers first pick up all pick ups after that are like a non medic picked you up

I think the most field medics I have had in a team is one , maybe two with randoms you dont prep your loadout with beforehand . It is a pain in the ass as pred , or teams with nothing but field medic and they all have ammo packs and medkits

Times are changing though , more and more is downrange plasma preds you encounter now . They just wipe you out with splash damage and what they don’t finish the AI does 😁 enemy soldiers are beefcakes now

I think the 20% damage reduction passive should only apply to explosive or AI damage. Like you said as of now 4 FM with 20% damage reduction plus 1/2 second revives takes away any strategy or tactical thinking from the FT as there’s no reason to fear getting downed, what’s the pred gonna do kill you before the other 3 could pick you up.

Even two field medics is a huge advantage, someone with leader and reckless etc? Not a fun time . Self revives aswell take balance over to fireteam and thats not including uav or anti cloak weapons

I’ve noticed heavy tank-like classes and multiple Field Medics are becoming more and more the norm, even with the random players. The amount of damage these bullet sponges can take does get wearisome, especially when contrasted with the damage they can output.
