I think some people have the wrong idea about the purpose of secondary weapons. Most do not do as much damage against Predator overall. And the ones that do have some major drawback. All these tests you see on Youtube are using them statically wrong. Sure, the shotgun, mini-gun and 2XL are good against Predator. But they all have some major drawback. Only Primary weapons are good for everything. I think secondary weapons optimal use is against AI. Use them against AI with silencers. Save your ammo for your big guns when Predator shows up. (P.S. The mini-gun being a secondary weapon makes no sense. I mean, I know why they do it. But come on, that’s a secondary…??)

Most secondaries are fairly useless or situational (like the shotguns). The Smgs are an okay fall back for when you have run out of ammo with your primary but the Revolver is actually fairly decent as it can pack a punch.

I find that the Z-06 SMG is insanely good for Close Quarters Shooting. You can get Headshots easily, and not too many realize that staggering AI Grunts followed by a Knife Swipe is a great way to engage and keep things as silent as possible. Of course I had to give Dutch the DJL-33 Shotgun as his Secondary since it’s essentially the Franchi SPAS-12 from the first Terminator.

The issue with secondaries is that they really don’t have range. Like the 2xl has good range for a secondary. I usually pull out my secondary when the pred is down meleeing my team. I save my primary for when he’s in the trees, or entering or exiting the area. I can put up consistent damage that way, instead of wasting the ranged ammo in close quarters and doing jack shit when he flees.
