Exactly. There’s many more people that play this game than just us on this forum that bought it day one. There will always be new people.

first of all you Q up as a random to play with random players do not expect players to be at the same knowledge level as you are even when thy hit level 100 or played the game for weeks the learning curve in every human is different

Yeah the skill gap seems widely consistent with 90% potatoes and 10% that know what’s up. One things for sure, there ain’t no Irish potato famine here. XD

i’d assume less than 5% of the playerbase visits the forums and knows “meta” strats for the game ie
the best weapons perks optimal gear set ups and strategies.
so it makes sense most FT is poop
i still run into FT’s that when i kill 2 and theypush me away i go and heal with pigs then they stay in obj and don’t mud up and keep trying to fight me instead of running away and hiding till reinforce

not to mention thy have added a free trail weekend for new players to have a test at the game there could be your problem that you have been added in a lobby with trails not sure what gears and weapons thy can use and what is unlocked for them

well I am not used to play a lot of crossplay games except DbD or Sea of Thieves and therefore PC gamers are mostly higher skilled not because of exp but because of the advantages you have on PC.
I had one very decent console kid last day, he had a mic, WAS funny to talk to and we were hunting the predator and mocking him. I know it sounds toxic but it was really fun. (we were saying that we see him and that we want him to come out and stuff like that, nothing lowbrow). The hunter became the hunted. The other 2 FT were potatoes and didnt know what to do other than follow us anyway ;)
We hunted the predator and he gave us pretty nice and entertaining fight but with good comm and at least one other guy knowing what to do its a hard time even for a skilled predator if FT is high skilled too.
We felt sorry for him but he was a good sportsman about it, I guess.
Anyway, I hope I can see more of that. More people with comms and people who know what to do.
I dont care about your aim as long as you are not a complete potato.
Cause after that fun match I had dozens of matches were people spread out like they though COVID was in the game, had no comms, didnt listen to any of my calls.
I get that people need to learn and come from all different places. But when you play, lets say, 10 games a day and 9 of them are complete garbage you lose interest in continue to play.
Its bad for me and its bad for the game!
Its nearly the same with DbD, since Stranger things and crossplay you see soooo many horrible players, its frustrating.
