Set time before Chopper can be called

I see a few people complaining about games being too rushed and I tend to agree. Perhaps a solution is to have a set time before the chopper can be called?

For instance, an FT can complete the objectives as fast or slow as they want, but won’t be able to call for extraction until 10mins (or longer) into the game. So if they have speed run the objectives, they still get the opportunity to mess around with the Predator, and the Predator still gets the opportunity to try and hunt them.

The game does need to be a little slower & tactical in order to enhance the ‘hunter/hunted’ atmosphere. At the moment both sides are having to race around as quick as possible as that’s the only way to win/survive.

Thats a good idea but there are pros and cons

I think it would be better when the Chopper can only be called when all living FT member are at the extraction point.
When they want to rush… ok.
There are enough Preds who are waiting at the extraction point.
Sorry for my english… im german 😅

The only problem with the ‘All living FT member at extraction point’ concept is that if you have a group of random FT players, and one decides to go charging around the jungle on his own, the others have no choice but to wait for him to be killed before then can exit, and then they’re a man down when it comes to the extraction confrontation between them and the Predator and enemy AI.

I think the set time option would be better so smart FT players can’t have their game exit ruined by one rogue FT guy.

This is a good idea i hope devs consider this.

An elegant solution. But still, what FT is supposed to do during remainig time? They need a reason to move, optional goals may be, or ways of getting more veritanium? If not the FT will defend one place in a middle of a map, it’s just boring.

I’ve just unistalled the game but your idea would make me install if also new maps but yeah a very good idea that could save the game.

Maybe during that remaing time they should just discuss ways on not rushing the mission by looking for owlf recordings and veritanium thats already ingame.

Perhaps the Fireteam could be given the ability (once they’ve finished the main missions) to set a trap - thinking of something similar to the floor net trap in the original movie. Might be difficult to implement such a game mechanic though.
