The guy sounded like he got fucked by the studio last minute on The Predator. Maybe directing a single player campaign could be the final outlet for him to express his unedited story.

I never want that man to touch anything related to this franchise again. He did no research on what came after the original and therefore has little respect for the subject matter or fan base. Sure, the studio sucked too, butbthat hardly absolved him of his blasphemies.

His ego got the better of him, he had an idea in his head he thought should overwrite most of the franchise. Fuck he also tried to overwrite the 87 original by changing the lore, he has some decent movies but nothing that stands out in my opinion, the studio interference wouldnāt have helped but to say its what resulted in the negative outcome isnāt 100% accurate

While I agree with the majority of the community and would rather if Mr. Black didnāt muck with the story anymore, I do think you might have a good idea buried in there.
Another game I play has a tutorial where you play as a character who gets taken at the end. Itās one of a number of major mysteries that make up the story. I always thought they should have had more chapters like the tutorial to expand the story. The regular game was so different being multiplayer and the devs never managed to bridge the two. (Or solve the mysteries for that matter.)
While I donāt want that particular director, directing chapters or a single player campaign. I do think it would be very cool to expand the PHG story by having Chapters in a story that are single player and give us lore about whatās going on.
Guess directors could be very cool addition.

Rightā¦ do you know why the studio changed 70% of his movie? Quz in Shaneās movie Yautja wore camo pants, drove assault vehicles and shoot from rifles. Yes - The Predator is a shit movie, but believe me, it was fucking much worst before the studio interference.
PS: In original Shaneās movie there were Pred mutants like spider-pred and monkey-predā¦ for the love of sweet fuck man no, just noā¦

Agreed. He had the same problem George Lucas did with The Phantom Menace. He had an idea about a kid and a gungan being a good idea and no one was brave enough to tell him, āno, George, that is terrible. Make it like the old ones.ā Same thing with the last 4 Ternimator films, every X-men since X2, the Dark Knight Rises and every DCEU movie involving Batman and the suicide squad. If it could be my job to tell directors and studios ānoā, and guide them toward a not awful path, Id do it on a heartbeat.

in defense of āThe Predatorā it has some half decent stuff, like fugitive. But yeah, I think the biggest problem is that people donāt realize Predator is HORROR and Sci Fi, not just a Sci Fi action romp, AVP has this problem as well. Itās a race if intergalactic fucktards that skin people for sport, as āhonorableā and everything else that the lore makes them, they are barbaric. You should hear the screams, feel the tension as each guy gets picked off one by one, and there should be some actual fear at what comes next, that is what āThe Predatorā was missing. Whole movie felt more like a comedy than a predator film

Shane Black isnāt entirely to blame for The Predator. He was not the right choice for it but what he had was fine. Itās the studio thatās responsible for all if not most of the ridiculous shit.
The reshoots, unwilling to pay Arnold more, the cutting of the Emissary and itās associated cast, and forcing Shane Black into the Predator Killer ending. Thatās all on the studio who frankly just didnāt give a shit at that point. The studio didnāt care and it shows while everyone working on the damn thing was frustrated having to deal with it. Itās basically our little Alien 3.
It was money that was the arnold problem? From what I seen it was because arnie said the script wasnāt strong enough and if his part could be bigger and more substantial then he would have considered it?

I actually thought days of future past was one of the better xmen movies š considering it was directed by a pedovore. Dark Knight rises served its purpose aswell. Shane Black has a certain style that just doesnāt fit well with the predator franchise. John mctiernan still directs I say fuck it and give him another crack at it
