Yeah. I’ve been on Battlefield 3 hacked servers before, many years ago. My argument was that there are more tools available to developers on consoles, to keep people from using hacks, like continuous updates to system software that prevent jailbroken consoles from being used online, etc.

Battlefield 2042 is actually changing to a different anti-cheat, because they were not able to stop the cheating through server side measures. I guess the solution is called Kernel-Level Anti-Cheat. From what I’ve read, a lot of PC players don’t like that kind of system, because it basically strips away all their privacy.
Kernel-Level Anti-Cheat Systems are a derivative technology that allows virtual world developers to detect illicit behaviour by identifying malware and hacks directly on the computer running them rather than through patterns inside a virtual environment (for example, an online game).
