This hack is not difficult to do. All they are doing is swapping memory values for one character with another. For example they find the address for Assault and Jungle Hunter, then they swap Jungle Hunter’s value with Assault and can play as Assault in the Predator’s role.
People have been doing this for the longest time in a game called The Isle to spawn in as adult dinosaurs when you’re supposed to spawn in as a juvenile. Here is a video that shows how it works:
They also do it in other games to swap basic items for rare items. It’s really not difficult to do, and is amateur hacking.
I will post a tutorial on how to do it in this game specifically after I catch them and report back.

I don’t really care anyway as that sort of cheat has no interest to me. It’s stupid, and someone might as well just use speedhack to accomplish the same but better. At least Fantasma couldn’t kill you in that scenario.
