i was curious too. its the one weapon that doesnt seem to get modded. BUT i bet that may come later in patches :)

but can you select a skin for it ? like the way you do for the weapons? no , so maybe the skins for knifes are kinda rare

Knife skins are hidden, once you aquire one you can apply it just like any other skin. It will be under the knifes shader option. you can get skins for both your tactical and combat knives
