If this company’s balancing act and overall incompetence doesn’t kill off the community. The vocal Pred sweat lords certainly will.
Slam blast goes through buildings.
Ppl said that same garbage about Friday the 13th and it took a damn lawsuit against the IP to bring that game down. This isn’t going anywhere. You’ll just have to deal with it or move along. People want a strong Predator in this game the same way they wanted a strong Jason Voorhees. Get over it.
I don’t know if that is entirely accurate to assume. It could be the case it is intended or it could they don’t know how to fix it and/or struggling to do so. Or they are simply focused elsewhere. I don’t agree with the concept of silence being consent. So whether it intended or not is very much up in the air and anyone’s guess.
Complaining about a low TTK = Complaining about a low TTK. So yes.
You’re going to be waiting awhile if you expect them to show up with a personal explaination as to why explosions travel through terrain gl keeping your blood pressure in check
This ones different, cause ice skating was addressed but not roof slam. So I dont think its a glitch or anything.
Dude if you’re not willing to actually try to discuss shit, and try to find a compromise, what’s the point?
There’s nothing further to discuss. The slam is op AND broken. That’s my opinion.
Don’t like it? Well. I don’t like dealing with broken mechanics.
Ok that’s fine, but what about a compromise? Too many people like it to just remove it completely.
That’s why I said give a damage nerf to roof slams.
But base slam leaves you wide open and a smart ft will punish you for it.
So there is balance to it.
You dont try to find a compromise.
Cause the ft can burn through pred just like slam can, but 4 ppl individually can do it. That’s broken.
The slam is supposed to work through structures, it’s not just a jump. The predator uses his entire energy reserve (the same energy that is used to fire the plasma cannon), to force a concussion wave from his point of impact. It’s why it also temporarily stuns the pred as well .
Once again you have to be a disgusting and dishonest POS.
You can’t be honest. You’re a compulsive liar and you need medical help dude. The complaint was being hit through walls for 2/3 of his health. When is the last time someone with an LMG shot you through a wall? Are you seriously so grossly immersed in your own lies and delusions that you are utterly incapable of making basic rational distinctions like that?
You mean like how they have been silent of everything else as well? So any time a glitch of any kind comes up we are to assume it is OBVIOUSLY intended? Like the Ice Skating? The double slam? Hell Fireteams using a macros? It’s all intended because they haven’t said anything. It just sounds like you’re desperate to be validated so you just make this shit up and imagine being so pathetic that you rely on hitting through terrain being validated that you are willing to take silence as confirmation. You are well beyond confirmation bias and have entered the realm of delusion.
Pretty sure you and yours also claimed the ice skating was intentional too.
That doesn’t mean anything though. A lot of glitches and issues were not addressed in the last patch. That doesn’t mean they were giving a green light on all that.
Do you have anything to back up whether it is intended or not? Maybe it is intended but it has all the appearances of an apparent glitch or programming flaw so until they either come out and confirm it was intentional or what not then… that is purely your own speculation and is without base.
The point is not if the slam going through buildings is a bug or not. The point is if it makes sense or not. And in my opinion it doesn’t.
It doesn’t make sense that it causes the same damage no matter if the soldier is protected by a wall or not. It just doesn’t, sorry.
And as I pointed above, I don’t buy that it is a necessary tool to regulate building campers. First, because there are other ways to do it that don’t serve other additional purposes like this slam ignoring structures does. And second, because camping on a building is NOT a winning strategy, it’s actually something that will waste time for the team and therefore be in predator’s favor. Even if they are inside completing a mission, they will eventually have to go out to win.
The timeout is a win for the predator. Camping on a building would be a problem if timeout gave a win to the fireteam. But it doesn’t. So slam current state can’t be justified as a way to counter camping. So provide better arguments or start thinking that it might just be an excessive quality of life tool that should be toned down.
I don’t see where it says there that it ignores protections.
So where does it say it was intended to hit through terrain? Maybe you should read that dude.
It doesn’t say anything specific. So it’s up to interpretation, and up to debate on whether it’s good for the game or not. That’s why we are here, and arguments are given above.
all in vicinity, meaning it’s an AOE attack the if you are any where in the blast radius you will be hurt.
It specifically doesn’t say you can block it.
Dude… you really just like to argue.
But fine il play this game.
Considering they addressed ice skating,
Why would they not do so with roof slam? Given All the post about those 2 issues?
You already know my thoughts on roof slam and slam in general.
The average ft cant handle base slam, so I dont use it on them, and I’ve always thought roof slam was a bit too much.
I honestly want more skills, something better even. Cause to me moves that leave you wide open are fuckin stupid.
My whole thing is, that too many people love it to get rid of it.
As long as it gets replaced with a better ability I couldn’t care less, but I know too many ppl would pissed to just get rid of it.
I prefer to use pc to blast ppl, through walls and what not. Even vs good ft’s, over slam.
I think instead damage should just be lowered for roof slam.
That’s the best compromise I can think of, until we get a replacement, which is what I want.
considering it’s built into the game mechanics and specifically referenced in the game notes. I’d say it’s not up to interpretation. It is part of the game as it was intended
