Yeah, PC Ft players for the most part do more damage than 90% of the PS4 teams I come across as Pred, most of the people playing FT on PS4 have their look sensitivity at the default. If they added aim assist to the PS4, that would change. I have my sensitivity set 1 tick below max for my controller. I average 2500+ damage to Pred per match, if they added aim assist, I would be just as good with the controller as I am with a mouse and keyboard.
Slam is a crutch
Do your FTs chase you for a bit? If I find a boar nearby, most likely I’ll have one or two FT members continue to chase me and stay near the carcass so I can’t eat it. which forces me to go even farther from the fight.
My biggest problem with your suggestion is that some of the missions can go super fast, even with the Predator there. Weapons Truck is a good example. The objectives there are either super short “pick up this, look at this” or just defend something. The weapons truck itself isn’t super hard to find. Every time I get this mission, we’re heading for the exfil zone before the clock reaches nine minutes. Forcing the Predator to go far away for a boar can mean defeat. The healing kit also takes some time to use. Without a boar nearby, you basically have one chance to win, maybe two if you catch them early on.
For PS player. Make sure you have at least 2 PC players in your party if you want to have some fun in this game.
I play on PC and when I die and see “trough the eyes” of the PS guys… I can’t help but die a bit inside. I got a PS, got it for the exclusives, mostly for TLOU Remastered and shooting in that game is a nightmare for me with a controller. I ended up buying one of those M&K combo for the PS and its somewhat better, not perfect but better.
I would be interested in seeing some more done with the slam, such as reduced damage and blind and such depending on how high or far you leapt and other potential mechanics to make it more interesting. I do agree the boat spawns can be pretty excessive at times and no one needs that many boars around.
As far as the PC player stuff goes I do notice they seem to be a bit better on average but nothing to write home about. And I have virtually never had anyone deal any notable amount of damage to me mid leap. I have it on just because I am still waiting on that god tier PC premade FT everyone is always on about lol.
Man, what’s with the pig spawns? I’ve been getting games with 0 pigs the whole match!
@ROARGATHOR
I’ve noticed that you have to get boars early. If you wait until the second half the match, they seem not to spawn any longer.
How do you get them to spawn? Sometimes theres plenty, other times none. It makes no sense.
@ROARGATHOR
Killing them makes more spawn. Other than that, try to find a few in the first 5 min. They don’t seem to spawn late in the hunt.
I do all the time they get fucked up
@richterbryan
Are you sure? I’ve heard pc Fireteams have 99.9% accuracy and 5x melee damage. PC predators get wins by simply surviving until the end of the match. Are you denying this?
the longer FT stays in one area the more boars spawn in the proximity.
If the FT keeps moving they are scarce, if they camp there’s food a plenty
that’s not how it works. It’s literally a proximity spawn based on a timer.
Also the proximity scan on pred does not light up every boar near you.
You can run past a boar that wasn’t even indicated in the scan or arrive at the one boar that was indicated and there’s three more within 5 meters of it.
Prox scan generally lights up boars that will require you to risk damage to get to (depending on your positioning).
Ive never heard those stats they may have better accuracy but they can hit what they can catch. I leave cross play on for the difficultly of playing against pc. Sure i lose to pc players alot of ps4 plyers but im happy for the challenge and even more so if I win. Sure a lose is horrible but you learn and adapt. Also 5x melee damage sounds like a cheat or a exploit pc players are using. Also if you ply the pred and you rush in for melee you need to seriously re watch all the movies. Happy hunting
@richterbryan
Sorry. I was being sarcastic. It was just that you were one of the first honest players when it comes to pc player abilities. Yeah, a mouse provides a marginal benefit to aim, but good ps4 players with aim assist aren’t much less accurate. The biggest reason pc players are probably better in general is age. Many Ps4 players are probably young and playing on their parent’s or sibling’s console, whereas pc players are probably at least in college if not in there late 20s or older and are on mics and coordinated.
That is very true. And yeah ima be honest. Can jack that i beat ever pc player i come across bc that will be a bold face lie.
So slam damage through objects has been reduced from ~95 to ~24.
This is a net positive I think!
This is a blessing, means I can actually stay by certain objectives and Reinforcements radio without getting slammed to death.
And if you truly try to camp for too long, the slam will eventually still get you.
Exactly. Slam will still be rough for new players, but they’ll learn, hopefully.
