All their AOE’s also hit through walls and roofs as well. Because, much like Democrats, they don’t like walls AYYY XD I like to have fun lol

Extremely contested topic.
One camp thinks its an exploit. Buildings should be safe.
The other camp feels the roof slam follows other AoE weapons and prevents building camping.
We won’t know the truth until the next patch and see if the devs address it.

The only time I really use it is when a FT is camping in a building since I dont have many other options, you wanna camp I’m gonna spam slam. If you don’t tailor your perks for it it’s not that big of a deal, the animation cancel I don’t use at all bc it’s definitely cheesy.
If FT is camping in a building I say go for it.

Kinda wana keep them playing the game so the pred wait times wont go up thou, hmm should i stop using slam all together so they dont quit and unnisntall.
Im genuinely surprised ppl think the roof part of this isnt as bad as the ice skating…Its not like ur able to attack any quicker that way u just move at walking speed while the animation twirl finishes and you can still be shot at…VS the roof slamming literally does damage to them when they cant even counter it to shoot u let alone see u and can be repeated …
See Im completely the opposite…I dont feel that being able to just spam roof leaps on to them bcuz theyre inside doing an objective or trying to regroup whatever the reason may be that theyre inside can be seen as worst than canceling something where u arent still for a couple secs …U still are in an animation u just move slowly while still being able to be shot at…The roof u can apply big AOE dmg without being seen

But there is a counter. Leave the building. There is no objective that requires the entire FT to be in a building. If you come across someone who likes to roof slam, leave the building. If he does it to get the person stuck inside, shoot him while he’s stuck in animation, and swap out who is inside. If the whole group goes inside to heal and ammo up, thinking its a safe zone, because entering is certain death, then leap slam is viable, because there are no safe zones in the game.

sure they can leave the building yes lol but sometimes objectives during a mission has them claim stuff inside it…if someones exploting slams while theyre doing things like that, its one thing if ppl are leap slamming into door ways of buildings theyre camping in…but i cant justify roof slamming(maybe if they added destroyable environment damage to buildings etc) I just dont see how breaking a root while still having an animation carry out while not being able to attack during it still is any worst? One part of the exploit is used to deal massive aoe damage to multiple players potentially while being inside using and having cover on their side…The other part of the exploit is just being able to “ice skate” after landing from slamming but its not like you are able to attack instantly as well, the animation still hasto carry out all while being able to be shot at still.

Did you read it this time? Yeah, there are objectives in buildings. You only need one person inside. So if his roof slam is hitting multiple people, leave the building. There is not going to be destructible environments, so unless they just flat out remove all roofing…
First off, those are two different things. The roof slam is a side effect of all aoe being no clip, what can also work to the FT’s advantage if a predator is using thin cover to corner plasma. The ice skating is an animation cancel, which allows you to close the gap to melee or start an escape while the FT is still blinded to slam again. We can tell the later isn’t intentional because, i mean, look at it. There is nothing there that even hints the devs wanted that to be possible. The aoe might just be laziness, but every aoe ignores the envirionment.

Yes i read it lol no need to get smart on me…I was speaking hypothetically about destructible environments to help ur case on justifying roof slamming but regardless of how many people are inside even if its just 1 is my point it shouldnt be abused like that in my opinion. I understand that all aoe is glitched atm and going through surfaces like this which is my point and why I dont think it should be used and dont want to get use to using it since itll be patched…
Yea cancelling the root allows u to move, and yes u could get closer to someone while the animation is being finished but u also have to land the slam somewhat accurately…Vs roof slamming u literally jsut aim for anywhere that sounds good and its just guaranteed dmg without any repercussions or downside…Plus youre implying the preds landing a slam on every FT member out in the open as if the whole team is gonna be blind in that case. Cancelling the root out in the open still has a lot more downsides to being exposed and shot at by the ppl u dont land on. I also realize its not like youre guaranteed to kill the whole FT in 1 hit on ppl inside either but im just saying its a bit much no matter how many are inside…If someones camping inside I feel theres plenty more at Predator players use to counter that(traps outside door ways, plasma cannon, spear toss etc) vs using a move that shouldnt be possible either bcuz aoe/splash dmg through surfaces isnt meant to be intended like that either
Edit : Btw im not saying the root cancel should be a thing, im just saying roof slamming shouldnt be abused either(unless they added that to be a direct effect of the ability itself in the patch notes) and i just personally feel its worst out of the 2…but both shouldnt be a thing is all i mean lol

And I’m saying you can easily punish preds who roof slam. If someone needs to be inside the building, don’t go inside, but go to the building next to it and point your gun at the roof, when he lands, a second of free hits, and if all three of you are doing it, the pred just took more damage than he dealt. The only time you can’t punish the pred for roof slam is if everyone is in the building to restock free from fear of the predator/ready to shred him when he steps through the door. Downsides to roof slamming one person, you hit one person with all of your energy and you can’t follow up to finish off the job. repercussions to roof slamming one person, you can’t escape the other three filling you full of holes. Pros of roof slamming one person, you damages one person and when the other three put you into second wind, you can just nuke yourself without fear of defusal.
