Slowing down the fireteam would fix a lot of problems.

I spent the last match being chased by the fireteam. First, they spotted me from around 300 feet out, nailed me with 3 sniper rounds. I’m pretty good so I was able to maneuver in and use some of the terrain to avoid them. I got a few solid caster shots in and 2 downs, but had to retreat to avoid taking too much damage. They just chased me. The fireteam is not afraid of the Predator. Despite having Adrenal Boost and leaping like a damn frog across the level they’re still able to keep up…I feel like that shouldn’t happen…

Look, regardless of how well I was playing or not. It’s not about git gud. It’s about what the fireteam should and shouldn’t be capable of doing in the game. And running down a Predator on foot should not be within their capability. Danny Glover could barely keep up IN A CAR.

Slowing them down prevents the fireteam hunting the Predator and also means they aren’t flying at light-speed through the objectives.

THIS! I swear I thought I was the only one! I played as fireteam exclusively till lvl 60, and if you use recon or scout, with double time… you can get to the obj in about 1 minute or almost 2. The new meta now, 3 people keep the predator busy while the scout zips his way to the new area and starts on the obj, the other 3 camp and keep the predator busy. With pig in shit perk and double time, it’s so easy to get away from the predator while he’s busy with the other 3 supports lol

I was thinking this earlier. In addition to your points it would also make trying to aim ranged attacks a little more sensible. Right now its like trying to throw needles at flies.

i kind of agree. fireteam are fast and have ton of stamina, they aslo dont take enough fall damage so they can just jump off a cliff and carry on running.

It would be nice if Predator could pick up sprinting FT members on Target Isolation regardless if they are mudded up or not. Also maybe make sprinting reduce your muddiness faster.

This would really slow the fireteam down, and make stealthly FTs actually stealthy by having to move slow.

EDIT: FT should be able to mud up before the Predator has Target Isolation, so the Predator just doesn’t find them in one minute.

This was actually one of my only fears about doing this, as it could potentially make aiming caster shots a little too easy. Still, I think it’s worth testing.

So two things always stuck out to me.

Recon and Scout have too similar of stats, recon should have touch less stamina. Make scout the main runner. You could even remove one of these classes and not many could care about the differences recon has too much speed, gear and health to be a pure light foot class that seems all round better than scout.

Small weapon mobility boost.
Reduce a decent amount of the boost for light footers, its seems waaaaaaay too much for them, or have the stamina drain increased if they move that fast when they do this technique.

Heavy can keep it, they sort of need it in a pinch.

A different way to look at a fire team speed tweak, when retrieving or using items? Only the person who picked it up can use it. Helps keep teams from grabbing keys at one end of base and their buddy magically has it at the orher end of the base.

The small time to run across because you have the file or keys, could provide just enough of a tweak without shooting the fireteam in the knees with nerfs in thw wrong way.

If they get downed with items they drop them and team can pick up and that could be the whole “fuck it finished without me! GO”

I actually think the game is out of balance with the fireteam speed. I think slowing them would bring it into balance without further changes to the Pred. He already heals for a long time and can’t attack in 2nd wind. This would force him to keep a distance while also giving him a little more breathing room to break away. I think he’d be less in your face if he knew he had more time.

Uh. No. They move plenty fast enough from melee. There are already too many mechanics in this game that make Predator melee practically worthless. We don’t need any more.
