considering i never use the smart disc in this scenario also not a fan of its mechanics… has anyone tried using the smart disc to cut the extraction cables so FT cant be extracted?

What’s the win condition if the the pred just sits at the the extraction and shoots the chopper down and runs off?
i dont know i am asking… if this is a current possibility… the missions are so damn short so it would be great to sabotage the FT’s extraction and force FT to take on the pred for the win, or have to hustle to the opposite side of the map to RTB
whats the point of the preds only win nature is killing FT… when FT can win the game by 3 methods… complete objectives and escape, kill the predator and run away or kill the predator and disarm. the AI is so shoddy in this game they dont oppose a threat further more they are marked on your minimap so you know exactly where they are and where they are coming from.
A win for being close enough to extraction to shoot down the chopper? Does the FT just chase him down afterwards while the timer runs out?
buddy, your making a big deal out of nothing, first of all i am asking if this is even possible, can the pred disc the extraction ropes? if so FT cant be extracted by PU location1 then a new PU location2 is created. FT’s objectives are very short and well coordinated FT groups stick together making it difficult to peal off one away at a time, not everyone wants to play zerk all the time.
so therefore make it to PU location 2 or kill the predator…
besides didnt the pred destroy a heli in the first movie before dutches team… it fits well within the realms of the genre.

I’ve thrown the smart disc at fireteam members while they’re standing at the ropes. The disc doesn’t cut the rope, it actually gets stuck in it. Bummer.
Re the shot down helicopter in the original movie - it was actually the Guerillas that brought it down, and “stripped the s*** out of it” according to Poncho.
You cannot shoot down the chopper as Predator so I doubt you can damage the extraction ropes. Once chopper is gone I believe the game just ends.
it was the predator, dutches men believed the heli was shot down by a heatseaker weapon which in actual fact it was the plasma canon, as the guerillas didnt posses such heavy or sophisticated artillery. nor did their camp even show or produce any form of sophisticated weapons.

Never thought about that… it would be a nice add. Like, you can see the disc flying around. So, if they add this, a FT could watch out for the disc and shoots to avoid the cable being cut.
Then the FT would have to call in another chopper, and the end timer is extended. Simple.
What if he shoots down that chopper? Just do a new gamemode
I don’t think you can cut the cables with the Smart Disc. You can give it a try at least ,but I haven’t seen a Smart Disc going through a glass window either.
The Predator can wait the whole match and just shoot down the chopper with a shot or two and that’s a win without any effort. Sounds kinda stupid if you ask me.

I always looked at that part differently. Obviously can’t be certain but when Poncho says it was a heatseeker they don’t know about the predator. Could have been a shoulder cannon shot for all we know. Poncho would just have seen a chopper with explosive damage.
Probably wrong but it’s just a theory I’ve always had.
