Boy I do love the smart disk but, I see a lot of people gripe about it being a horrible weapon, even worse then the war club. While yes it can get stuck in un-retrievable objects, whats horrible about it?

This dude tried using it, until he realised he couldn’t effectively use it, 'cause I’ve found his “disc spot” everytime and just either stopped him or evaded his disc.
It’s fun to use it when you get a hang of it, it’s just that, good players will find ways to stop you. Besides that, disc could use a little work on it.

Idk, I’d chalk that video up as you faced a new predator, with my recent recording I didn’t receive hate on my video, but people were a little bit funked explaining that the smart disk is by far the worst weapon in the game. I have yet to find “good” players to stop me from using it profusely.
It’s without a doubt the most rewarding of the predators long range weapons to be successful with! Especially a jumping+strafing target
Oh, you will. I don’t know for how long are you playing PHG, but there are PC players using low graphic settings and can spot you across the map and snipe you before you even get close to them.
I ended up once against a PC premade, who would shoot off 50% of my HP before I was even in range to deal the dmg to them.
I kept wondering how’s that even possible, just to find out later that against PC players who use low graphics, your cloak is useless.
It’s just too unreliable in my opinion. Not worth carrying
I’ve played since launch bud. My question is not about whose good, its about the gripe system with the smart disk or discussions about it basically.
It always funny when they run away and try to jump over it like…“you do know you’re hurtbox is still in the way of the smart disk right?”

Yeah, I get you mate. For me personally, it took some practice and different styleplay to make it work, jumping behind the building, throwing it immediately after jump etc. It does get stuck in weird places. I stopped using it when my disc went into the ground on Derailed and vanished from the game, leaving me with only a combistick.
But, if you’re good with it and having fun with it, that’s all that matters. It doesn’t matter what others say.
Do you record your vids? Not many preds run the disk. Would love to watch.
I respect it, yeah when it gets stuck in objects you cant touch is the worst, which is why i always make sure i have either the bow, elder sword, or the combistick when i run smart disk.

My thing with it is, for me at least I’m too fast paced to slow down and control it. When you can stop and think with it and use it It’s fantastic but most times I just can’t. I’ve seen @taemiller98 and @Thescoutpredmain use it and wish I could but I’m never that lucky to be able go and break LOS long enough and still be close enough to be effective with it.
It’s really a niche play style in my opinion. Also…never ever use it when you’ve been drinking

He’s actually why i started playing it and I’m actually quite fond of it. Can’t speak for all but its one of my favorite weapons.

Bottom line It’s a game changer if you can settle in a spot, throw it, aim it, chase the FT, hit them, find another, hit them, get it to return, not get it stuck where you can’t get it or it’s destroyed…lol
Too much work for my patented play style of screaming “oh shit oh shit oh shit” while leaping all around trying to land shots
