So, about 'Prey' (Predator 5)
there is more chance the game is dead before the movie come out (i hope so)

Well, on the marketing side adding the new Pred would of course be the best move,
but I don’t know how well the game itself would be alive until then if they don’t pull off at least one new game mode.

Wait, I thought it was Greyback? And that being the case then we already have GreyBack aka Elder…but I wouldn’t put it past illfonic to release another Elder under a different name cough cough Captured is just Wallmart Jungle Hunter cough cough

It’s not confirmed that it’s Greyback, it is more a rumor because of the date the movie is settled in being close with Greyback’s pistol,
and that’s it I think
imho I don’t think it is Greyback, nor I would like it
(there is already a splendid comic of him obtaining his gun, and for me it’s more than enough).

It depends.
Historically this just hasn’t happened with console games. Yeah concrete jungle did the AVP costume but that was well over a year after AVP came out. AVP 2010 did nothing for the release of Predators with the likely culprit of it not having the license or budget to use them. The PSP AVP-R game didn’t include a Predalien and the devs went on record stating they had no idea what the plot of the movie even was.
I would expect Illfonic would have some variation of that. If we get the Predator, that’s probably it. If they look like an existing Predator we will get a skin if anything or a helmet if the new guy has a new one.
Much as I’d want one given it also didn’t show up on the leaked list of releases were probably not getting them. At minimum a helmet.
And that’s not Illfonic’s fault.

Lol TIL an AVPR game even existed.
not a good look though seeing as AVP2 had a predalien in 2002.
Surely they saw the end of the first AVP movie?

In earlier drafts the hybrid died in the crash. Depending on what if anything they had to work off of, the hybrid might not have been in the outline of the film they’d been given.
The Predalien was also a guarded secret, not perfect but most didn’t know what it looked like. And to protect against spoilers it’s probably why the helicopter is the final boss if not then not knowing a hybrid was even in the movie.
Even the body Wolf finds on the ship isn’t clear if it’s meant to be Scar or Bull, the model ultimately being Wolf’s. Since a dead Predator was on the ship, but nobody knew whose body.
