Recently there was a leak about some of the supposed content that will be coming into the game IE

And “new weapons”
But it would seem they are mostly just skin based and there may not be any gameplay differences at least notable ones to speak of. mind you leaks of any kind should always be taken with a grain of salt, but I also feel like incorporating new gameplay mechanics over just more skins, is really important at this stage to breath some new life into this game which I Love. It has alot of untapped potential and I would like to see it realized sooner rather than later.
As far as we know right now the wristlauncher is the only confirmed new gameplay mechanic/weapon and we still dont know if its the plasma one or the spear launcher from Predator 2 (I’m hoping it’s the latter as we already have the plasma pistol)
But I would also like to see more throwable weapons like the Shuriken and not be locked into piloting it. Also it would be awesome if they got Danny Glover’s character into the game and of Glover himself as the voice, that might be overestimating their pull but I would enjoy it 😁

In the video it showed an unfinished shot of the Shuriken as well as new plasma casters the others were just conjecture mostly like possibly the sniper spear gun but no hard evidence one way or the other and the rest was City Hunter customizables or variations.

I made a post a long while back that if they add new casters they need to operate differently from the standard caster. Alas skins galore is what they think will keep this game interesting…
Those are not “leaks” those are “rumors”. Nothing has been “leaked” as content thus far, only rumors and content announcements. To call it “leaks” is misleading.
Well I did put it in quotations but I guess that was not proper terminology, excuse me.
Don’t worry to much, it’s semantics. The devs did leak them by shipping them in a live build and then they were data mined.
It’s why code names for files/projects are important. Some stuff from future builds is going to be shipped early, it would be to hard/cost to much to edit it all out.
Devs keep things hidden that they think are worth the effort, everything else is just a potential hint about the future. I’m just glad illfonic hasn’t messed with us by putting fake stuff in the build, that I would be disappointed in.
No, they are leaks with in game screenshots and in game files. Leaks which were proven to be true with the announcement of City Hunter.
I only take the items with images and in game models as being real anything else I always try to stay away from to be safe.
It’s a good policy, I always keep ‘they might have a reason to not add content that leaks’, in the back of my head.
Still seemed unnecessary for the OP to be called out about semantics. The OP obviously tried to to limit expectation by “” his leaks comment.
