So I turned on my PlayStation today and checked for new updates and nothing…maybe tomorrow I Guess, but I was really hoping for it today. It just seems strange that they would break their previous timeframes for updates unless this one is going to be a BIG ONE fingers crossed guys.

It could be one new bigger map and night mode for other maps + bug fixes + dutch87 + city hunter fix + some nerfs and buffs
If this is to be the big update, it might take a bit longer than the usual updates to release. It still could be today, maybe just a bit later in day like i said, due to its size, but take that with a pinch of salt lol.
I’m expecting new shaders lol

It’s amazing how people still seem to think that they will add night mode maps into the game after someone added a photo, similiar to photoshopping, of a Fireteam member with NVG equipped. Don’t you guys realise how unfair night mode would be for the Fireteam?

Why would it be unfair? A challenge yes, but unfair, I dont see how. Also, the photoshop image you might be on about is an official PS4 PHG Theme, unless you’re on about another image.
Depens on what you think is big and small im sure either way the devs will think its Huge weither it real is or not.

Do i need to explain to you how you can’t see as well in the dark as you can in the light? And have you ever been looking through NVG before and noticed the blurred vision and limited view distance?
Predators bend light with their cloak, and during the night there is no light, so the Predator would be completely invisible. The Predator’s vision mode would not get affected at all by the night time, while the Fireteam would have limited field of vision and a much harder time to spot medkits, objecive items etc. If the Fireteam would get NVG to be able to see during the night time, the NVG requires infrared lights to be able to see, and guess what the Predator’s vision mode is showing? YES, it’s infrared. The whole Fireteam would be like glowing little fireflies in the dark.
So yeah, a challenge. Maybe they might add flares or other light sources for the FT, but at the end of the day I still think it would add a more suspense and actually be genuinely scary too. Also, I didnt need you to explain how the Predators cloak works. Obviously I’m a fan of Predator and also play this game, so I know how the Pred uses his cloak. I also know how night vision goggles work, and my question was really why it would be unfair in this game?
Like, its 2025 right, so maybe the tech the FT uses is slightly different to standard night vision equipment. These are purely assumptions of course, but I still cant see why it would be unfair.

Yes, i agree, it would be scarier for the Fireteam, and it would also be impossible to win for the Fireteam unless the Predator player would be a potatoe.
I think my reply before this one explained pretty detailed aswell as bringing examples how it would be unfair to add a night mode, so why do you ask this question again? I can’t help if you have a hard time understanding english.
And @TheWalis84 can you show me the official PS4 PHG Theme you mentioned earlier? Because as far as i know the NVG were datamined.
Right I’ll stop you there mate!! First off, I’m just asking a question as to why you think it would be unfair, to which you replied like a teacher telling a kid the basics.
Secondly, I’m literally trying to have a discussion with you, but obviously you’re tone and arrogant remark on whether I have a hard time understanding English kind of sums it all up really so, what ever I guess. As for your comment regarding the NVG, go to the PHG subreddit page. Theres an image on there.
Unless now bear with me here they make sure that the night maps work so both the FT and the predator are not an advantage or disadvantage aside from the current status. They can implement all sorts of shit to make a night map work such as adding torches, lamps, setting off barrels to create fires, etc. this is a game after all I’m sure they’ll think of something before adding in an unplayable map.

It’s only the FREE Update part of the roadmap, so it’ll be a few bug fixes which in themselves add more bugs, and some shaders. Haven’t you learned already 🤣

Since you asked me why it would be unfair with night mode i felt like i had to explain it to you on a child’s level and give examples, because HOW can a human being, with knowledge(as you now explained that you’re a fan) about the Predator and it’s technology not be able to understand how darkness benefits the Predator much more than it does to the Fireteam? As you had to ask that question.
I’m also trying to have a discussion, but you’re taking offense when i’m answearing your question and giving examples. You basicly asked me why it’s unfair to turn off the lights when playing tag with someone that can see just as good in the dark as in the light, what answear do you expect to get to such an obvious question?
And that picture is nothing official as you claim it to be, it was made by a person who opened up a file, viewed it’s content and could load in NVG on a character.
I could say that the picture below is more official and a confirmation that we will have a Power Ranger class and a Turtle class in the upcoming patch/es.
Note how the Power Ranger player helps me spot the turtle who is coming after me with his daggers, if it wasn’t because of the Power Ranger player i’d be dead.
