i would say they have more variety in what they can run aside from probably weapon choice
as realistically there are only like 5? good fireteam guns but i guess compared to predators 3 weapons that’s alot
maybe someday it will be addressed

That’s why I laugh when anyone talks shit after I win. Had one guy call me a pussy once for literally not standing still during a 1v1… like dude do you want me to just let you parry me to death? Am I supposed to be giving you four a chance when any one of you have a chance to put me down?
Calling me a spammer for blasting them all to death while they’re camped in a building with one entry lol
If anything, the lack of real variety just makes strategy more important. I’ve gotten better at hitting fireteam through windows, hit and runs, diversions and lures… safe to say I only lose to premades and top-tier players. Call me what you want, I’m taking your spine to my planet and selling it as a xylophone.

Keeping my fingers crossed for the scout rifle, arm cannon, spear gun, plasma/laser mines, disc launcher, snares and burner
Also the auto targeting biomask for when you are healing

This is why I play sickle, netgun, and traps… no time to fuck around anymore in this game lol too many times I’ve been like ‘ok I’m gonna try something new’ and bam, toasted and roasted. Now I am the roaster AND the toaster.
Side note: never let them get to you. Get to them. Cross chat is a godsend for predator because you could have easily baited them outside with a little smack talk. When they call you plasma spammer you say they’re trash for not knowing what to do and having to rely on interiors to save them, then you keep blasting them and laugh obnoxiously when they die.
I say this as someone who’s been punished heavily outdoors by good teams. Good teams don’t need interiors and actively hunt the predator. Bad teams find somewhere to squat and wait for preds to fuck up.
I was losing IQ points by the second. Decided to go find an actual game 🤷♀️

I got bad aim so I don’t use the bow much at all but the net gun for whatever reason I have made the craziest shots on people. Also, it’s a situational weapon. I rarely use it to down someone and instead trap players near my target so they won’t be able to shoot me as I’m killing their friend lol it’s also the best way to keep fireteam from getting in the chopper.

i can run wrist blades vs ps4 players with no dmg modifiers and win… this is more of a pc thread… not knocking ps4 players… but the gap is that huge.
Build variety is lacking in case of PHG, indeed.
However, build variety is difficult to address in general. Many games have problems here.
The game is not balanced in a way so that predators stand a chance against premade fireteams since it would completely cripple the balance of random matches (even more).
I actually tried getting tradionalist achievement by focussing on random PS4 fireteams. It did not work nevertheless.
Against random PS4 fireteams, nearly any approach seems to work.
i mean thats where private match modifiers come in… if a pred is given a handicap in a game… i really don’t see balance…
The problem is both sides want to win… but I do think if pred kills 4 players total its a draw on both sides…after reinforcements… of course FT wins but vs a premade calling in reinforcements is almost a loss.
