So unbalanced and one sided for pred

When someone creates a new thread here in the forums and the very first post contains either of the words “Buff” or “Nerf” the thread should automaticly be removed by a forum bot imo.

I play a Scout, so yes one missed parry equals dead.

I rarely see scout players anymore lol. People are finally realizing that in most cases the absurd hp+max gear is way more useful than only being a fast boi

I like my elite model, and 12 perk points. It’s funny cause both the class skills are ass. You don’t have the health to pick up against a good Pred and weapon switch speed is just ugh.

i still usually see one scout or recon in every game i play there usually the sniper guys as they don’t actually want the predator to get close and there fast enough that they can just move locations so that it’s harder to find them if not they down you and your dead cause in the scouts case he is faster than you if your not also a scout

lolll. yeah the elite model does look good 0.0 But damn so does that tasty scout booty when im playing pred and want an ez claim.

I tried running cold blooded and I swear it was like I’d lubed up for every Pred. Went from being ignored to first down constantly.

@KameofWar, yeah mobility for the flanks.

Sure it is, predator jumps on your pack with the elder sword, 2 hits and most of your health is gone (consider that you don’t even start with 100% hp) then when you turn around and put your knife out, the next thing you do its better be a parry or its over.

to be fair, the elder sword hits two hits in slightly longer than the time other melee weapons hit once. Meaning it technically still hits 5ish times to down like all melee weapons, but man it does not feel like it lol. A fair exception. I rarely use the elder sword. Too boring, plus I hate the tracking on it.

This is a good assumption.

Unfortunately, if done right, (close enough) the spear is easy to hit, and you can’t parry while using syrette, so you go down with two hits before the healing gets high enough.

Maybe if you’re ignoring predator sprint and leaping.

I always play assault with thick skin and dexterous. The funny thing is I win the most against predators with randoms that are Dutch and supports. I hover around them and hit the s**t out of the predator with the 7en when it comes in with melee. Doesn’t work with recon and scouts cause they get swatted like mosquitoes. Also, doesn’t work with good predators, but most predators aren’t good.

I’m not ive literally been in a game on overgrowth where we winded a hunter class predator at the top right camp
our scout ran the predator all the way to the ruins at the far end over by river camp where the reinforce radio is and she killed him before he healed out of 2nd wind

the predator is not faster than the scout FT unless they are also a scout
only the map decides if the predator lives by healing in a location the FT can’t kill him from such as the tall cylanders on pump house at backwater

you can cancel the parry animation into a syrette though

Then you’re predator did a poor job at running. Jump over obstacles, change directions, brake line of sight. That said even in a race from point A to B i really don’t think a scout can keep up with an elder if he leaps constantly. I would love to see some test of it.

Yeah. Because it takes time to heal. Which is why medic is actually a strong perk for berserker and Samarai, IMO.

@Xan84 is right. You should put obstacles between you and the fireteam by jumping and leaping.

yea you should put obstacles in the way it’s just each map there aren’t enough obstacles to get away from a scout with double time assuming he can see/hear you since FT has unlimited stamina and you can crouch jump to get over intended obstacles (slide cancels grand you the ability to sprint and regen stam at the same time)

unless you make it to one of the map locations where it isn’t possible for FT to get to you and or see you your dead if the FT get you in second wind and you didn’t kill the scout

I suppose. I’ve literally never been run down, since like the first couple weeks when the game released.

It’ll force them to adapt some team-like tactics. Sticking together, covering each other, spotting for predator. It should be more than FT commando being able to attend up to pred 1v1. Let’s say nerfing perries by allowing 2 per standing meter as was suggested previously. Or making the knife breakable after 4 successful perries. That shouldn’t weigh to much on less skilled FTs

Then this place would be empty, and illfonic might actually post something like ‘wtf happened’ here 😁

Tactics. Two commandos up front and win the back covering each other. Mudded up snipers covering. Death is not the end. Can res or if reinforce is needed. Main goal is to chase pred away and continue with the mission.
