The new spear might be looking like it delivers some electrocution damage, I could be wrong but the screenshots looks like electrocution could be its major benefit.
So what are your predictions against the PREY!?
I feel like the shield will be under the Equipment catagory, and act like armor, always on and reducing bullet damage, either by specific amount or altogether, and it will be powered by Energy. It will also be able to be destroyed by the FT, much like the mask, after a certain amount of damage. Part of me feels like it will occupy a weapon slot instead, and you hold a trigger to raise and lower it. But that would require new mocap, something I know they won’t do. Plus its terrible gameplay, having to switch back and forth between offensive and defensive, so I’m pretty sure its an auto-equip.
And I think that screenshot is of plasma caster effects, I don’t think it comes from the bolt. From what I’ve heard the bolt acts like a faster but less maneuverable smart disc, and acts like the movie counterpart where its just a solid projectile. Curious as to how exactly it’ll work, obviously the laser is involved, which sets the Pred up to getting spotted and shot easily. I’m sure Dithered Lens might help with that. As to what kind of damage, unsure, hoping it’ll be like the bow and headshots do more damage and the bolt will stick out of the body for a time. Honestly I’m not seeing how any of these new items could improve Pred balance without seeing them in action first and getting stat values.
