Sick shots in the first few clips, I do believe the pistol should suck up some energy out of the predator when it’s reloading. The fact that it can be indefinitely reloaded is already a bit OP 🤷♂️

The pistol DOES need a nerf to it’s infinite ammo mode as of right now.

Lol bow does more damage and you have to shoot 30 of them before you have to go start picking them up again. That is also infinite ammo. The only weapon with limited shots is the netgun, and that is the best weapon in the game really.

I think the pistol is fine tbh
I use it as a secondary, not for damage, but to scare and push, or pull depending on the power exchange, to draw the enemy from or towards me.
it’s also handy for fleeing, after dropping an FT, then peppering the area if the team returns to pick them up. I’m not yet proficient with the smart disk or bow, so this suits me pretty well.
It says it’s effective at close range but for my uses it’s also good at a distance. FT rarely can target my location when I use it, unless I get trigger happy.
it’s sometimes a good ruse, if I want to mix up some leaping around and shooting, rarely even hitting them but wasting their time trying to track and spot me. Then after they get used to this, hopefully after taking a little splash damage, I rush in like a zerker with my hunter, slaying with the elder sword or combistick, but I think the sword is a better match with the pstol for some reason.
Something I’d like to improve at is switching fast between the pistol and shoulder canon. Blasting initially with the shoulder canon and then switching to blaster to keep the pressure on as my energy regenerates. Then switch again to shoulder canon for a non-stop barrage. Have any preds tried this?
You can bind shoulder and pistol to weapon keys/buttons so swapping should be feasible, thought I have never tried it. I just almost never use the shoulder cannon. Paints too large of a target on my face for my liking but if you are firing snap shots it could be interesting.
Oh yeah I only tap, usually when I have a clear shot down an ally or something, they turn to my direction in time to meet the barrage of fluff from the pistol. Scares the crap out of noobs honestly
It takes as much time to charge there “I’m over here!” canon as it does to place a devestating slam, so When I need a shot from it it’s almost always a tap
OH hey! Another nice use of the unlimited ammo on the pistol is that you can explode barrels and gas tanks for free, using one shot even without the ranged perk. Could be handy

That’s true, the handheld plasma caster makes the same sound as the shoulder mounted one, which is really useful for scaring inexperienced fireteams.
