Seems that only those without a keypad have not yet told the creators of Predator: Hunting Grounds what to do and what to change to make the game great already. I own a keypad, so here I am, writing!
No weapon and class changes will be mentioned, though. I’m level 40 and I haven’t seen much, but I dare say that there actually is some balance. Some fragile one, but you know, it’s OK for the genre.
My point is - predator needs more ways to control and more ways to make chaos. May be some new kinds of traps will help? Traps to silence the radio transmission, so the fireteam needs to destroy it to hear the next part of the mission; to change the mission point, so the fireteam would go there instead of their real goal. These traps will help to slow the fireteam down and let the predator meet them on his own grounds. Traps to hoax fireteam minimap would be nice: they will show ally’s mark move in the direction which is not real.
Next - the amount of gear predator can use during each match could vary according to the number of soldiers in the fireteam. More arrows, traps and healings against a full fireteam, less against a lone soldier.
Small fireteams should be harder to spot, I guess. It’s hard to find full team now - I often find myself playing alone vs a predator and usually these matches end quickly. It would be great to give some balance to such situations. (And thank you, predator-players, who gave me a chance in this matches, for not rushing me in melee the very first minute. Trying to sneak past you was some thrilling experience!)
Oh, the most important part! There has to be a smoking-cigar-in-the-mouth in fireteam’s accessories. A lot of people will want to play such badass soldiers so waiting time will decrease for predators!
P.S. Му English is poor but I hope this text is still readable and at least some of those ideas would be worth reading.
