Some suggestions from my pov

Knife

I don’t know how you guys feel but the knife definitely needs to be nerfed in some way.

  1. Cooldown resulting in high-risk high reward scenario - meaning that the Fireteam has to decide to parry or the use of their guns (more xp if not leveled out, more veritanium if leveled out).

  2. Parrying resulting in the loss of HP - which means again a high-risk high reward for the Fireteam, who parries the Predator because he will hurt his hand (more xp if not leveled out, more veritanium if leveled out).

  3. Knife breaking - which means a high risk of losing the knife for the rest of the match, so that the Fireteam really has to consider his move (maybe let the Fireteam receive a little extra veritanium for taking the risk).

Guns

Now to the guns. Some of them do way too much damage and would need to be put a little bit down.

Here would be some ideas on how guns damage should be measured:

  1. 200 ammunition clips - has a weapon over 200 bullets the damage should be reduced because of damage per second.

Predator:

Some of the Predator weapons should have specific stuff to work properly. Meaning normally in rl when you get an arrow to the head you should not be able to stand and go on with what you’re doing, right?

Predator shouldn’t get stuck on small stuff like stones or edges.

And the weapons aim to track should be fixed, sometimes even when the Ft is right beside you the Pred is hitting into thin air.

Reinforcement:

If the Fireteam reinforces it would only be fair if it decimates the ammo, healing, and items since Predator usually only has a specific number of his own stuff left at this point.

Wow, that is a very direct answer to the stuff I wrote down XD

They were good ideas. They’ll never do it though

Knives are fine

There’s only a few guns that are to strong but it’s often has to do with player skill as well, you hit more often you do more damage.

Sure but only if the same is true of Pred, I think a movie accurate Pred would be significantly weaker then what we currently have. Alternatively it can stay as is because it’s a game and equal realism is likely to make it one sided.

Reinforcements - I’m against starting with 10% less gear but do think you should come back as a separate load out.

Knives are fine? Well, I don’t see it this way. Predator’s shouldn’t get so much damage from just one knife hit in my opinion as they do now.

Add this to the pile of amazing suggestions that will be received as:

Fireteam need buffs, predator isn’t OP until he spawns in game dead and not to mention the bugs that would come with said fixes that destroy the foundation of the game (things that weren’t broken before now are useless) and make fans hate this game further.

Melee from behind or the side. Knives aren’t a guarantee hit from the FT.

If Illfonic actually will keep the route up to buff Fireteam, they will lose all Pred Players probably for sure.

On some days I actually feel like throwing my controller away and just quit but I keep on playing because I love the game so much. Just would hope the next update will be Predator dedicated.

Its unfortunate to be placed into this bubble by this company.

I have had so many friends that love PREDATOR that now probably will never want to buy another predator game again because of this experience.

Sad.

Sounds like you had a bad match as Predator lol.

Funny you bring that up. I can’t recall the last time I had a good match. Good here meaning fun regardless of win or lose. I either get potatoes, or ridiculous teams that win not because of skill, but because of dumb broken fucking mechanics. Or bugs. Usually both. I haven’t played in a few days and frankly don’t miss it.

Parry doesn’t even work half the time for me

Gotta disagree

Not only a bad match but a bad day in general. Two matches get screwed over by a too high ping and then I only happen to get top tier fireteams. I maybe had two or three wholesome Annihilation’s.

These are good ideas but I’d propose a more complex solution for the reinforcements. Instead of a simple reduction in ammunition, gear etc I think it would be better if the system was slightly reworked. Have it so multiple radio stations spawn on the map but can only be activated once there are two players left. Each radio will bring back one person with full gear, ammo etc how it is currently. There will only be 3 radios that can be used. This will encourage strategic plays such as do the last 2 players stick together and reinforce the team more slowly but can better fend off the predator or do they split up and become more vulnerable so they can get multiple people back at once. I feel this will help the reinforcements become more of a challenge and a risk for a reward instead of the cheap second chance it currently is. Right now it’s just a mechanic that rewards bad players.

Your idea sounds good but I don’t think it would be vary practical.
I do 100% agree that you should only activate reinforcement once there are two players dead.
Having to revive each player individually wouldn’t be worth the trouble, especially if there’s only one person alive

YOUR ALL MISSING THE POINT! IF YOUR GOING TO STAMINA THE PREDATORS MELEE DO IT WITH FIRETEAM AS WELL! I mean how many tried this strategy no matter the class

  • Plasma
  • Jump
  • Melee
  • Leap
  • Die

Because it happens all the time! Stamina interferes with everything, for crying out loud Predators can do this!

The idea behind it is that it would mean you’d have to work harder to bring your entire team back instead of waiting 5 seconds then your entire team is back. If there is one person left it leaves them with the choice of finishing the mission solo but unlikely to win or taking a risk and building up their team again one by one so they have a better chance of winning. The more they reinforce the stronger they’ll be. Basically meaning the more risk they take the more reward they’ll get and they’d be forced to do something other than breezing through the mission. But that’s my line of thought with the idea but I get why it wouldn’t be the best solution.

Honestly I’d just rather they remove reinforcements because it’s not really needed from what I’ve seen of good teams. But that’ll never happen. At this point I’d take any form of rework for it that makes it less cheap. But I don’t think a simple reduction in what you spawn with is gonna cut it imo.
