On three occasions today I was only able to hear things that were roughly 80 feet away. Anything closer than that was completely silent; no gunfire, no footsteps, no predator noises, nothing.
My buddy also had the same issue at separate times twice today.
Love this game, but being deaf to everything except the hogs in the distance is pretty much unplayable. It seems to go away after the match ends.

Yep, audio bug. Happens every once in a while. I’ve heard turning your 3D sound fixes the issue.
If you’re on PS5, turning off 3d audio should fix it. PS4 has no fix that I know of. You could always reinstall the game, I suppose. 🤷♂️
