Spamming the explosive weapon plasma caster and melee with staff for reach advantage is making this game very bad as these players don’t need any skill to do this. They need to add a counter ability for fireteam for these things. Like give them unlimited force field ability when staying in one place and add sword melee weapons to make parry fair. Remember, most gamers are not good and won’t even choose the right loadouts or use these new things effectively. These things would mostly benefit the good players which are also the players that usually spend more money and time on the game.

They do have counters for that. Pred uses caster then everyone but the person getting shot at should shoot the pred. Two sawz-50 shots to the mask (13 if using protection) and the caster becomes useless. Melee with the combistick, use your knife. The combistick has the easiest parry window and range, learn to parry.
They shouldn’t destroy what balance there is to hold the hands of every new player. If only they had a FT tutorial to help all these new players out but nah fuck that they don’t need one of those apparently.

If i had to point a “number” i would say that i, by myself, got dozens of Predators killed (or 2nd winded) just by parrying/knifing.
You just gotta git gud.
Oh, and about the plasma caster, it can be OP with the correct loadout by a good player. But you can counter that by being OP with a sniper.
So… What’s the next problem?

I think it would be better to give him tips on how to counter plasma spammer. Its actually not easy for the regular casual to counter it given someone with 2 brain cells is spamming plasma. On the other hand, if you nerf the predators long range weapons there is nothing he can do. Melee get’s you melted against any team that is not made of complete potatoes.
OP. When someone is spamming plasma, don’t stop and shoot at him unless he is targeting a teammate that is not close to you. If you are the target keep running and do mission objectives, make sure he does not have line of sight with you. Don’t try to exchange fire with him if he is shooting you, you will lose.

It honestly takes a decent amount of skill to do it effectively. Also they are components of the game, same as your guns and your bullets and your parries. If you can’t handle players that use their weapons effectively, quit the game. The less people who cry about the mechanics, the better. Only the strong survive in the jungle.

I tend to notice that anyone spamming the plasma caster gets melted quite fast. It IMMEDIATELY gives up your position as the Predator and is depleting your energy level at the same time. Spamming the caster will only get you so far but is by no means an instant win for the Predator.
Smart Predator play will have you fire one shot then reposition yourself for a follow up attack. What good is being cloaked is everyone knows where your attack is coming from?
A good Fire Team will identify the source of the attack and light it up!

I always do the smart play, unleashing hell in one spot, move, repeat. Yeah I’ll take damage but it’s never enough that I have to worry. I’ve recently adopted a playstyle from another user, I forget his name, where he engages with plasma primarily up close and spams the shit out of it. It’s very aggressive, and I like it.
Two shots of the SAW-z to the head and the pew pew spam is gone.
The combi is probably the easiest weapon to parry, even easier than wristblades. There are times where I have been able to parry every single attack with it in one engagement.
