I base it off in that Combistick is the only melee weapon I can consistently parry from all sorts of ranges and I suck at parry. The only other weapons that I think are maybe a bit easier to parry would be the war club (which is very rarely used) or the wrist blades but they have shorter range than the combistick.
Spamming plasma caster and melee with staff needs to change

He was probably thinking that I would be an easy kill since I was by myself. A lot of these newer predator have probably never been parried before, so they don’t know what to do in these situations.

Well there’s much a predator can do in this game, he doesn’t have to many ranged weapons and if he does have some they either been nerfed or just don’t have much damage. The plasma caster does spam but if your in a lobby with good people they will beam the predator while your drawing fire. Once you find a coordinated team against a decent predator there’s no way the predator survives, you just need to realize the more time you play the game and level up the more you and your teammates get better. Then because you have played so many games you’ll understand what to do like when people spam you just run go for decent cover and jiggle peak. The melee spam isn’t that good as you can get beamed if you miss even one hit, the later on you gotta realize the parry tool is a get the timing down as you go against predators. One of the easiest ones to parry are the the combi stick, the damage sucks and the only way to get good damage with this weapon is to either throw it or jump around like the floor is hot coals. One thing you’ll see is when you level up to at least 100 you’ll see people reposition and find times when to strike. There is a time when people realize that they need to think in this game that just spam hit and run.
