When will you ad The speargun for predators, like the one from AvP2 game,
would really like to have something like that in the game, with high velocity not slow like the bow.

Full charge bow is pretty fast. I doubt we’ll get this it’s so similar to bow already 🤷‍♀️
well one could always hope, since there are many other similar weapons already, like elder sword, katana etc, so why not a new ranged weapon? sure the bow is pretty fast but not fast enough in my opinion.

I think the holdup might be that while it’s used in Predator 2 it’s unseen. I don’t a think a prop was even made for it or if one was it simply hasn’t turned up in the 30 years since the film’s release.
Interesting note is that while it’s used in the penthouse scene from Predator 2, City Hunter fires it with his right hand. Meaning that it’s not a function of the wrist launcher despite that being where his wrist mounted gun is. Also while cloaked he doesn’t seem to be holding anything for that shot meaning that the spear tip might’ve actually been fired from his blade gauntlet. Meaning that in order to do that his gauntlet actually lights up blue before its fired. He then proceeds to never use this again despite still having it in his fight with Harrigan.

Yeah it’s weird because a speargun never turned up in the BTS features be it on Predator 2’s DVD or in anything posted by Stan Winston or those who worked on the movie. Even the weapons poster doesn’t make a mention of it and it’s used in the penthouse but also a plot point.
But still I also can’t figure out where it’d have fired on the wrist blade. I’m sure that’s something the filmmakers didn’t think about since we’d never have to see it. TBH I thought it could be an alt fire of the net gun but that doesn’t line up given the net gun is visible before its fired.

I listened to a AvP Galaxy podcast the other day with Stephen Hopkins. I’m 98% certain he mentioned it came out of his wrist gauntlet.
I thought the spear in pred 2 shoots the tip? And isn’t the spear gun actually in predator 87? Blaine gets hit with it before the plasma shot?
The spear speargun is used in the comic Predator: Cold War. However in Predator 2 all of his weapons like Jungle Hunter’s wrist blades is visible as he holds them in cloak where in this case it’s not.
What happened on the original Predator is that the footage where Blaine is hit comes from an earlier cut where the Predator was the Boss Film’s Predator (later used to be the Amengi and Alpha’s body armor). The Predator in that version of the film had a bladed weapon he fires twice into Blaine. The film tries to cover this up showing a plasma bolt instead but it’s still kind of there as a remnant of the old creature design.
I always assumed he must have been hit with a smaller shot but it grazed him . In pred 2 doesn’t it only show the tip flying through the air? And they call it a spear tip in the movie? Which is why I’ve always assumed that’s what it is? If its in the comics that doesn’t mean that’s what was intended in the movie? Was cold War released after predator 2?
It’s kind of weird with early Darkhorse where some things don’t really match up. This was also in the days of VHS without a lot of the resources to get reference one might have today. The spear gun simply wasn’t visible in Predator 2 which is why you have so many variations of it. Nobody is exactly sure what it looks like and how it’s supposed to fire.
Cold War was released after Predator 2 but because nobody knew what this thing looked like and the Predator already had a spear it just becomes easier to combine things or create a whole new weapon.
In Predator 2 all we see is the cloaked City Hunter from his right arm produce a blue light from his gauntlet as it fires.
