Anybody know if there’s some kind of benefit to not having a specialisation? Like, are there other stats that change around that aren’t shown in the patch notes? Because at least half of all the guys I’ve played with don’t have one.

Yeah, you’re probably right.
At the same time though, I would have thought that seeing people with these new titles in the pre-match screen would make them curious to check out their customisation screen…but I guess not.
Either that or its on purpose for tournament training.
Arnold doesn’t need your FT Buffs to win. I could however use some Pred specializations at this point!

Agreed!
They literally already have the yellow tabs for new items, friends, and field lockers. Somebody dropped the ball, but there is a larger quality of life issue.
When you make big changes to the game, there should be at least a general explanation within the game of what has been changed. They can’t expect everybody to check their forums.

Yeah, it couldn’t be that hard for them to add a pop up message when you first open the game after an update that tells you about this sort of thing, right?

Exactly. Other games do that.
The thing is that the Specializations Button is invisible for most non-english localizations.
You can only see it when your mouse hovers above it.

Damn. Illfonic always finds a way to screw up. That’s explains why so many players still don’t use specializations.
